How To Eat Keto In Disney’s Hollywood Studios
You’d think that in Hollywood there wouldn’t be a carb in sight! This guide on how to eat Keto in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, might seem more like a list of where not to go. Don’t worry though, because there are some terrific places to eat that will totally satisfy you.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the smallest park in Walt Disney World. It actually started out as a planned Epcot pavilion, only it grew to big.
There is a lot of amazing history with this park and many changes over the years. However, it still has the same great restaurants it has always had and a few new ones too.
The level of immersion into Movieland may not go so far as to duplicate Hollywood diets, but as with any other Disney park, they make dining easy and safe for everybody.

Disney World Diet Tips
There is really no need to be too concerned about being able to maintain ketosis while on your vacation. You won’t have to cheat to have fun on your vacation. Here are some quick tips to make sure you don’t run into any snags during your stay.
- Read up on menus for restaurants you are interested in. This may help narrow down choices from places you would like to eat at. Walt Disney World posts all of their menus online.
- When you make your reservations, note any dietary restrictions you have that you are concerned about.
- When you arrive at the restaurant, remind the host about your dietary needs. They may provide you with an allergy menu, which you can use to locate carbs.
- The chef will be available to answer any questions you have about what you can and cannot eat; and they will offer alternatives whenever possible.
There are no truly pervasive snacks in Hollywood Studios the way you find in other parks. Especially if you don’t want any carbs. However, there are a few hot dog locations scattered across the park.
You can head right, and head down Sunset Boulevard to the very end to KRNR. The rock station rests (obscure music pun!) just outside Rockin’ Roller Coaster and they primarily serve hot dogs and chili dogs.
On the opposite side of the park, between the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! and Star Tours: The Journey Continues, is the Backlot Express, which serves the same hot dogs.
If that’s not enough for you, try the Dockside Diner near the center of the park. They have footlongs! You can also get them at Fairfax Fare.
Keto In Disney’s Hollywood Studios Pro Tip: If you really like to snack between meals, I suggest bringing your own keto friendly snacks.

Keto at Hollywood Studios Quick Service
In Echo Lake you will find the Dockside Diner. It’s the docked boat on the lake near the center of the park. This section is home to the 50’s Prime Time Cafe and Hollywood and Vine as well. The only quick service location other than Dockside Diner is the Oasis Canteen. Keto In Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Stay away from the Oasis Canteen, which is mostly heavy alcoholic beverages.
Sunset Boulevard has a nice little cluster of counter service options by Fairfax Fare. You will have to remove something from just about any order here, like the buns from the hot dogs, and corn/tortilla chips/croutons from salads.
This area is not especially helpful if you are keto, but you can do pretty well if you don’t mind customizing your order. Your best bet is an Angus Burger without the bun at Rosie’s All American Cafe.
Hollywood Boulevard has only one counter service location and it’s a Starbuck. That’s great news for building your own signature keto friendly coffee or tea drink, but terrible news if you are looking for anything low carb and no sugar.
Thankfully the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is right there and they offer their famous Cobb Salad on their small tapas menu.
Keto In Disney’s Hollywood Studios Pro Tip: Commissary Lane is a great place to go for a keto friendly lunch or dinner. The ABC Commissary and Baseline Taphouse are both in this area. The Taphouse will have a charcuterie board and spiced nuts to offer. Make sure you ask nicely for a keto friendly charcuterie board.
The regular one contains fruit. At the ABC Commissary, You have the option of Lemon Pepper Salmon without Couscous, or the Kids Salmon with Green Beans.
You can ask them to sub Green Beans for your Couscous if you opt for the adult version. Green Beans can be incorporated as a side with other dishes too.
Grand Avenue has a lot of Italian food, which mostly means carbs. However, the Backlot Express– which is one of those hot dog locations I mentioned– has a cypress sandwich you can get without the bun, with carrots.
You could also get one of the Angus burgers without the bun. The salad contains wontons and black bean relish, so look out for that.
Baseline Tap just opened in 2018 and they offer several cheese board options. They are a brewery though, so beer and wine would have to be avoided.
Toy Story Land
This area is a lot of fun to play in, but no fun to eat in if you are keto the limited menu relies on tater tots and a few sandwiches. Although there are separate adult and kids menus at Woody’s Lunch Box, they contain the same things and are created largely with kids in mind.
Think school lunch – not so great for low carb dieters!
Best Table Service for Keto
Keto In Disney’s Hollywood Studios Pro Tip: 50’s Prime Time Cafe is one of the best places to go for Keto entrees, especially if you don’t want to have to make substitutions! It has the most dishes that are already good on the keto diet.
Sci-Fi Dine in Theater is also a good choice if you don’t mind customizing your order. Hollywood and Vine can’t be overlooked either, because as a buffet, it puts you in charge of what you eat and how much.
Worst Table Service for Keto
Unfortunately Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano is a poor selection if you are following a keto diet. The Italian cuisine is not customizable to the degree that it is much help when in keto.
The Hollywood Brown Derby also does not have much to offer other than the aforementioned Cobb Salad that can be said to be truly keto.
Although they will make it work in most cases, it is not recommended that you count Brown Derby as an option, unless you are traveling with people who really want to eat there.
