My favorite childhood summer memories involve sitting around a campfire and eating s’mores. It’s a quintessential summer flavor that everyone loves. Now you can take it to the next level with this decadent S’mores Pie recipe that comes together quickly. It’s a great summer dessert that’ll have everyone asking for second helpings.
If you love the texture of a warm cookie, then you’re going to love this s’mores pie recipe. It’s got this great gooey center with a crunchy edge from baking. I always threaten to just stick a spoon in the center of it and enjoy it straight from the pie dish. It’s just that good.
I make it for all of our summer gatherings – from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It’s not too chocolatey (if that’s even a thing) and just reminds me of childhood summers. The kids really love it and even help me bake it. I think it’s become a classic family recipe that we make time and time again.

How To Make This Easy S’mores Pie Recipe
If you want to make this pie ahead of time, you can put the pie together and just bake prior to your event. I’ve kept it in the refrigerator and baked while we’re enjoying our BBQ. That way it’s gooey and ready to enjoy after dinner – fresh and warm.
What To Serve With S’mores Pie
The pie is great on it’s own, but you can take it to the next level with some fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. My kids love it with ice cream and chocolate syrup. Me? I just need an ice cold glass of milk.

Substitutions You Can Make
This recipe uses Hershey® chocolate pieces and chunks. I purposely use their brand for that classic summer taste, because what’s a s’more without Hershey? However, you can use whatever your grocer carries and you’ve got access to use.
Another substitution you can make is using a pre-made pie crust from the grocery store. You can use a graham cracker pie crust from the baking aisle and the recipe will be even easier. Just start with the marshmallow fluff layer and then follow directions.
How To Store Leftover Pie
If you have any leftovers, you want to cover it with plastic wrap. I just keep the pie in the 9-inch pie dish and store it in the refrigerator. You can reheat the pie in the microwave for 1-2 minutes before serving again.
Additionally, you can freeze the pie and it will be good for up to three months. Just let it thaw completely before warming again.
What You’ll Need From The Grocery Store:
- Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter
- Granulated Sugar
- Eggs
