The city of Atlanta offers so many great destinations for families. If you’ve got little LEGO fans (or you’re one as well), then you’ve got to visit Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta! It’s one of the most family-friendly things to do in Atlanta. Since it’s an indoor play area, it’s open all year round. If you’re planning a visit, I’ve got the breakdown of the Legoland Atlanta food prices and available admission discounts.
Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta: Food Prices + Discounts
While a day at Legoland Atlanta doesn’t require too much advance planning (you can literally just show up and purchase tickets), there’s an advantage to putting a little planning in ahead of time. You can save time and money by doing your homework.
Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta is located in Buckhead, inside of Phipps Plaza – an upscale mall. It’s open 7 days/week, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Typically, guests visit for about two hours time. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Every guest over age 2 has to have a ticket.
How To Score Legoland Atlanta Discounts
There are several ways to instantly save money on your Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta visit. First off, purchase your tickets online instead of in-person. You can save $10 on each ticket and they just scan the ticket directly off of your phone. You can also skip the long admissions line if you’ve already purchased tickets.
The level of ticket you decide to purchase has a cost that’s determined by date and time restrictions. Legoland only sells a certain number of tickets for each hour that they’re open to keep crowds under control. The afternoon tickets and weekdays tend to be more cost effective than the weekends and mornings.
If you’re local to Atlanta, consider purchasing an Annual Pass to save you the most money over time. Annual Passes are valid for twelve months and, depending on which level you purchase, come with other perks (like an activity lanyard). Historically, we’ve seen the Legoland Atlanta Annual Passes discount around Black Friday. Follow them on social media for the most up-to-date sale announcements.
The Legoland Atlanta Military Discount is available upon walk up. It’s $5.00 off of the general admission price, with valid military ID. It’s valid for up to five guests. Honestly, I feel like the online prices are a better discount option.
Everything You Need To Know About Legoland Atlanta Food Prices & Options
Legoland is near several food options that are inside of Phipps Plaza. There’s a Moe’s SouthWest Grill, SubWay and Johnny Rocket’s nearby. However, outside food and beverage is strictly prohibited. The Legoland food options are sparse and definitely lack-luster. There’s a “Legoland Coffee Shop” inside that offers a small selection of snack items, coffee products and beverages.
Annual Pass members receive 20% off all food and drink purchases. There’s no alcoholic beverages available – only Coke products. ICEE, Smoothies, fountain drinks and bottled beverages are available for purchase. Certain seasonal events, like Brick-or-Treat, have a juice box included in the ticket price for children.
Snack items like chips, yogurt, puddings and fruit cups are available for $1.35 – $5.00. The only meal items offered are pizza (cheese, supreme or pepperoni), nachos, sandwich and corndogs, with prices ranging from $2.00 – $8.00. Comparing the snack products to grocery store prices, you’re going to overpay A LOT. I’d avoid these food purchases unless you have an Annual Pass membership or your kid is begging (hey – I get it).
Probably the best option, which caters to adults, is the modified Starbucks menu. Iced coffees, teas, blended Frappuccino® and hot chocolate is available. The only two size options are tall and grande. However, there is also a full service Starbucks located on the first floor of Phipps Plaza in the Monarch Court area.
Legoland Atlanta food options do not include anything special for food allergies or gluten-free.
