The city of Atlanta offers so many great destinations for families. If you’ve got little LEGO fans (or you’re one as well), then you’ve got to visit LEGO Discovery Center Atlanta! It’s one of the most family-friendly things to do in Atlanta. Since it’s an indoor play area, it’s open all year round. If you’re planning a visit, I’ve got the breakdown of the Lego Discovery Center Atlanta food prices and menu items. Your kids will be having so much fun, they wont want to leave for a bite to eat.

LEGO Discover Center Atlanta is located inside Phipps Plaza, in the Buckhead neighborhood. The Discovery Center is celebrating a 2023 grand re-opening with all new attractions and exhibits for kids to explore, play and create. It’s perfect for all ages – from toddlers to master builders.
As a mom, I know how important it is to plan ahead and be prepared for extra expenses. After purchasing a base ticket, you can pick from extras – like a super cool virtual reality experience – and dining at the LEGO Cafe! I’m sharing all the details below, so you can be prepared for a full day with lunch at the Discovery Center or plan to leave for lunch elsewhere.

General LEGO Discovery Center Atlanta Information
While a day at LEGO Discovery Center doesn’t require too much advance planning (you can literally just show up and purchase tickets), there’s an advantage to putting a little planning in ahead of time. You can save time and money by doing your homework.
The Discovery Center is open 7 days/week, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Typically, guests visit for about two hours time, but your ticket is buys you all day access. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Every guest over age 2 has to have a ticket.

LEGO Discovery Center Atlanta Food Prices & Menu
Legoland is near several food options that are inside of Phipps Plaza. There’s a Moe’s SouthWest Grill, SubWay and Johnny Rocket’s nearby. However, outside food and beverage is strictly prohibited.
Inside, guests can enjoy the quick bites at the casual LEGO Cafe. It’s a quick-service cafe that offers menu items that are reasonably priced for families. For our family, enjoying a bite at the cafe allows us to have more play time, without the stress of leaving. I find the LEGO Discovery Center Atlanta food prices to be quite reasonable too!
Once leaving, guests cannot access the Discovery Center without purchasing a new ticket, which is good to know for planning purposes.

Annual Pass members receive 20% off all food and drink purchases. There’s no alcoholic beverages available – only Coke products. ICEE, Smoothies, fountain drinks and bottled beverages are available for purchase. Certain seasonal events, like Brick-or-Treat, have a juice box included in the ticket price for children.

How To Score LEGO Discovery Center Atlanta Discounts
There are several ways to instantly save money on your Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta visit. First off, purchase your tickets online instead of in-person. The Center only sells a certain number of tickets per day, so you’re guaranteed access if you purchase online vs. at the door. You can also skip the long admissions line if you’ve already purchased tickets.
The level of ticket you decide to purchase has a cost that’s determined by date and time restrictions. Legoland only sells a certain number of tickets for each hour that they’re open to keep crowds under control. The afternoon tickets and weekdays tend to be more cost effective than the weekends and mornings.
Plus different ticket tiers offer different experiences. A base ticket starts at $30.99 and with additional add-on experiences, the tickets can cost as much as $43.99 per person.
Different Types of LEGO Discovery Center Tickets:
- Base Ticket $30.99 (per person): Admission to the Attraction
- Base Ticket With Photo Options $38.99 (per person): Admission + LEGO® Minifigure + Digital Photos
- Premium Ticket With Everything Included $43.99 (per person): Admission + Virtual Reality + LEGO® Minifigure + Digital Photo Pass

If you’re local to Atlanta, consider purchasing an Annual Pass to save you the most money over time. Annual Passes are valid for twelve months and, depending on which level you purchase, come with other perks (like an activity lanyard). They offer two different Annual Passes – a premium version that allows guests access any day and a cheaper version that offers access only Sunday through Friday.
Historically, we’ve seen the Legoland Atlanta Annual Passes discount around Black Friday. Follow them on social media for the most up-to-date sale announcements.
The Legoland Atlanta Military Discount is available upon walk up. It’s $5.00 off of the general admission price, with valid military ID. It’s valid for up to five guests. Honestly, I feel like the online prices are a better discount option.
