Celebrate the season in the heart of Milledgeville with a festive weekend of holiday cheer, beginning with Holiday on Hancock on Friday, December 5, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. This beloved First Friday event transforms downtown into a holiday wonderland, complete with visits from Santa and the Grinch, hands-on crafts for kids, sweet seasonal treats, and the magical lighting of the community Christmas tree.

Friday, Dec. 5 | 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.

This holiday season, Milledgeville’s vibrant arts scene shines with two beloved traditions hosted by Georgia College & State University. The Annual Holiday Concert at Russell Auditorium showcases the talents of the GCSU Music Department, featuring festive selections that beautifully capture the spirit of the season. Complimentary tickets are required, and donations are encouraged to support future performances.

Adding to the celebration, the timeless ballet The Nutcracker graces the stage at Russell Auditorium in a magical production presented by the GCSU Community Dance and Dance Minor programs. Now in its 29th year, the performance features dancers of all ages, telling the enchanting story of Clara and her journey through the Land of Sweets.

Together, these performances offer a delightful blend of music, dance, and holiday tradition—making them a must-see part of Milledgeville’s seasonal festivities.
