If you’ve ever been to California Adventure theme park, you know they have some amazing cocktails to enjoy near Pixar Pier. The Lamplight Lounge (formerly the Cove Bar) has a secret menu of cocktails and here’s how you can make one at home, with this Disney Fun Wheel Cocktail Recipe. It’s a fruity layered drink that’s perfect for a warm day and will remind you of your Disneyland vacation!
The Lamplight Lounge used to be the Cove Bar. Guests love going for the cocktails and the view of Pixar Pier. When they reopened as the Lamplight Lounge, they continued to offer a secret menu of drinks. I love that you have to “know” about these drinks, but I swear everyone orders them once they see other guests getting them! You just ask your Cast Member waiter.
So if you’re on this page, to grab the recipe, you probably already know how amazing the drink is. It’s fruity, layered, colorful and fun. The Fun Wheel Cocktail is one of the more famous secret drinks, and it’s a twist on the classic Long Island.
The Disney version has gin, vodka, and rum — topped with Pineapple juice, X-Rated Passion Fruit Vodka, and blue curaçao form that iconic range of colors! At the restaurant, It’ll cost you $14. Make it at home for much cheaper AND you’ll be able to make more of them. I took the liberty to simplify the cocktail for making at home – same look and great taste – without having to search for hard-to-find liquor.

Overall, this cocktail is pretty simple to make and the layers create themselves with no added work. Invest in some hurricane glasses, for home, so you can get the same effect that they create at California Adventure. I also like to work with a home bartender kit and you’ll use it so often if you love to make cocktails.
What To Serve With The Fun Wheel Cocktail
If you’re really in the mood to recreate what everyone loves at the Lamplight Lounge at California Adventure, then you’ve got to make Lobster Nachos that they serve at the restaurant! It will really bring the experience to your home and everyone raves about this popular menu item – it’s a must order.
Can You Make A Large Batch?
If you want to make several drinks from the recipe, you can double (or triple) the individual ingredients. However, I would avoid trying to layer the cocktail in a large pitcher. Arrange several hurricane glasses in front of you and make several at one time.
What You’ll Need To Make The Cocktail:
- Pineapple Juice
- White Or Coconut Rum
- Blue Curacao
- 4 oz Pineapple Juice
- 2 oz White or Coconut Rum
- 1 oz Water
- 1 oz Grenadine
- 1 oz Blue Curacao
1- Pour grenadine syrup into a hurricane or pint glass.
2- Using a shot glass, measure out the other ingredients. A shot glass usually holds 2oz. Fill the entire glass with ice.
3- In a separate cup, mix pineapple juice and rum.
4- In another cup, mix water and blue curacao.
5- Pour the pineapple juice/rum mixture into the glass with the grenadine syrup.
6- Pour the blue curacau mixture into the glass on top of that very very slowly - it helps to use a spoon. Garnish with an umbrella or lemon slice - or both!
To make multiple drinks, double or triple the recipe, but serve them in individual hurricane glasses instead of a pitcher.
