They’re best known for their indoor waterpark that guests can enjoy all year around, but the resort has an array of other activities too if you’re not looking to get wet. What makes this spot worth your family’s time? All of the exclusive products that you can only get at Great Wolf Lodge. Basically, just like the usual Build-A-Bear experiences inside malls, you’ll be building a furry friend to take home. 

We love that it doubles as an experience at the resort as well as a souvenir that the kids can take home to enjoy. 

They offer plush designs that are only available to build at GWL resorts. All of the Great Wolf characters are available to build. 

Here are the Great Wolf Resort Characters you can build:

• Wiley The Wolf
• Violet The Wolf
• Oliver Racoon
• Rachel Racoon
• Brinley Bear
• Sammy the Squirrel

 

Plus we’ve seen plush options, other than their mascots, that are typically available. There has been traditional bears, monkeys and dragon options too.

Just like the usual Build-A-Bear experience, kids will go through different stations to build their plush. After picking out what design they want, kids go to the filling station. They make a wish and place a heart into their plush.

After that, there are so many accessory options to pick from! This is oftentimes the most exciting part for children and what can hurt parents wallets the most. They can pick out everything from shoes to underwear and scents for their new furry friend.

Great Wolf Resorts Build-A-Bear Pricing

Most of the plush options to build range from $22 USD to $35 USD – without any accessories. 

Check to see if they offer any package deals while you’re purchasing. Several times during our Great Wolf Lodge visits, we’ve run across some great deals for Build-A-Bear. The Story Time Package includes the following items for $39 USD:

• 1 small Great Wolf character
• 1 Great Wolf Lodge story book
• Drawstring backpack
• Flashlight carabiner
• Blanket

Paying For Your Experience

Unfortunately, Build-A-Bear gift cards are not accepted at Great Wolf Lodge locations. However, you can use your resort wristband that’s connected to your card to pay. The wristband is a great option if you don’t want to walk around the resort with cash or credit card.
