Wine Bar George Review – Disney Springs
We were given complimentary meals from Wine Bar George at Disney Springs, but all opinions are my own.
While the menu of Wine Bar George at Disney Springs includes more than 130 wines from around the world, there is nothing to be intimidated by. I’ve got some favorite labels, but a trip to Wine Bar George broadens your horizon because you’re in the hands of experts. Whether you’re a wine novice or a seasoned wine lover, George has a table ready for you.
George Miliotes is one of the 249 worldwide Master Sommeliers and Wine Bar George is the only wine bar in Florida owned by one. He has a long history with Disney World that dates back to the grand opening of California Grill. Personally invited back to the brand, George opened his Disney Springs wine bar in 2018, amongst the dynamic line up of celebrity chef-owned restaurants.

Wine Bar George at Disney Springs: The Experience
The Atmosphere
With seating for 200, there is an intimate feeling to your Wine Bar George dining. It’s located in The Landing section of Disney Springs. Outside the restaurant, the area transforms into a hotspot for live music entertainment each night. Special upstairs bar seating, with shutters that open to outside, allow guests to sip wine while enjoying the tunes.
We dined in the early evening and it was perfect for a date night. I love that your conversation isn’t overshadowed by crowded seating. You can lounge on couches, enjoy a cozy table like we did or grab a seat in the bar area.
Menu Highlights
Don’t be fooled by the simple menu because everything we tried was delicious. I highly recommend asking your server for wine pairings for each course. We shared several small plates and then ordered the family-style skirt steak.
Of the small plates, we tried the Chicken Skewers and the House-Made Meatballs. The presentation of each dish is beautiful, while each dish has a depth of flavor. For being small plates, the portions are rather generous too. That didn’t stop us from finishing every bite.
The family-style plates are enough for 2-4 adults to share. The chimichurri adds a slight sweet note to the tender skirt steak, and it’s served over potatoes and asparagus. My only gripe is not having bread to soak up all the delicious chimichurri remnants – it’s that good.
The lunch menu is available from 11am-3pm and includes three staple items: Chicken Salad Sandwich, BLT+C and Steak Frites. Each one can be ordered along with an expert wine pairing.
They also offer an allergy-friendly menu, which I love. Disney is known for being allergy-friendly and George is very familiar with Disney service.
Drink Highlights
Wines are available by the bottle, glass or ounce. I love that you can vary your experience to ensure you love what you’re drinking. Our waiter paired several different ounces for each course so we could experience the different flavor combinations.
We felt comfortable trusting our waiter, but the diverse wine list includes: wines on tap, sparkling and champagne, whites, reds, outstanding wines by the ounce and George’s personal finds. Let your waiter know what you normally like at home, so they can lead you in the right direction.
If you want a taste of luxury, the The King’s Experience offers four 1 oz pours of extraordinary picks for $250. The Guado Experience is great for small groups you receive a 1 oz pour each plus a Big Board (cheese & charcuterie) to split, for $200.
George is very hands-on at his restaurant and can be found most nights – for recommendations, pouring and great conversation.
The Basket at Wine Bar George
Wine Bar George at Disney Springs offers a to-go window that’s attached to the restaurant. Since Disney Springs allows open container alcohol for patrons, you can take advantage of the wine pairings to-go.
For $60, you can Build a Picnic Basket which includes: a choice of any sandwich, cookie, wine and bites. Plus you receive a basket with the purchase. It’s a great option to enjoy any Disney Springs location you like and Florida’s sunny weather.
A cult favorite is the Frosé that you can order at The Basket. It’s a sweet sensation to enjoy as you walk around on a hot day. For a popular summer promotion, guests could purchase a Corksicle glass and receive a free Frosé.
