Disney World with a Toddler

We’re preparing for a family Disney Parks vacation and I can’t wait! Fall is my favorite season to visit Walt Disney World with all of the fun festivities starting for the holidays. We’ll be bringing our toddler, JP, on his third vacation to the parks. Seeing Disney through your child’s eyes is the best!

The only thing between now and our magical vacation, is packing. Since the countdown is on, I’m running some important errands for the must-have items that we’ll need. It’s so important that I have everything we need on vacation with a toddler. I never want to interrupt the family fun because “Mom forgot something.”

I went to BJ’s Wholesale for everything we can’t live without on our Disney Parks vacation. JP is so active when we’re having fun, so I made sure to grab a box of Huggies Little Movers. As the most absorbent diaper that Huggies makes, they are perfect for toddlers on the go. The Leak Lock protection gives us up to 12 hours of play time without worry. BJ’s Wholesale makes it easy to grab a huge box of “vacation only” diapers that we’ll take with us.

Once we get to Walt Disney World, the fun is endless for our family. We let JP take the lead and decide what we should do. It’s important, to me, that we keep the family vacation stress free so everybody has a great time.

Here are my stress-free tips to experiencing Disney Parks with a toddler…

Tips to a Stress Free Disney Vacation With a Toddler

  • Create a Packing List

A few weeks prior to your vacation, start thinking of the items that your family uses regularly and how long you’ll be gone. By planning ahead, it allows you time to edit as needed. Then head to BJ’s Wholesale, right before you start packing, for those essentials.

  • Bring All of the “Must Have” Items for Your Toddler

Toddlers are creatures of habit and need all of the comforts of home when on vacation. Think about snacks, diapers, clothing items and even medication. Bringing the essentials that we use daily, like Huggies Little Movers diapers, will give the family more time for fun with less worry. Our family can’t forget JP’s Mickey plush!

  • Arrive to the Parks Early

Try to plan for an early start to your park days. I know my toddler has the best attitude and energy, in the morning, before his afternoon tiredness kicks in. Aim for more activity early in the day before any afternoon meltdown.

  • Take Advantage of Disney’s Resources

Walt Disney World offers the My Disney Experience app, with all of the information you’ll need at your fingertips. You can read attraction descriptions and find out where to meet your toddler’s favorite character. Just download it before your vacation.

  • Plan for an Afternoon Nap

I like to stick to our usual nap time routine, even when we’re on vacation. A little rest goes a long way, for toddlers. They’ll wake up refreshed and ready to watch the nighttime fireworks.

Those diapers would definitely make for a less stressful trip. Disney is so much fun. No need to stress at all.

We went when my oldest turned one, and it was awesome! I loved the baby stations at all the parks - so helpful.
