Enchanted Rose At Grand Floridian: Is It Worth The Cost? (Review)

Last Updated on March 7, 2022 by Kimberly Stroh

Beauty and The Beast is one of the classic Disney animated movies from the 90’s and it’s such a beloved movie today, that Walt Disney World created the highly themed Enchanted Rose lounge after it. From floor to ceiling, this Grand Floridian resort lounge embodies everything Millennials grew up loving about the film. I’m breaking down the cost and popular menu items so you can judge if it’s worth the cost (and time out of your vacation).

The Enchanted Rose lounge does not require advanced dining reservations. It’s the main lounge for the Grand Floridian resort and it’s located on the second floor of the main building. You can access the lounge, from the Magic Kingdom, via the monorail. Guests can also drive to the lounge and pay for parking or valet at the resort entrance.

Beauty and the Beast might be a kids movie, but the lounge feels very sophisticated with a relaxed vibe. It may not be as laid back as Trader Sam’s (next door at the Polynesian resort), but you still don’t get a stuffy feeling. The lounge reminds me more of the live-action movie than the animated version.

Themed Decor Adds To The Atmosphere

Look closely and you’ll see signature Disney touches on the decor that’ll remind you of the movie. The chandelier is golden, and inspired by Belle’s gown. My favorite references are a bit harder to find. Walk around the lounge to find a figure of the iconic Enchanted Rose from the movie as well as a Cogsworth-inspired clock, a Lumiere-inspired candelabra, and a Mrs. Potts-inspired teapot.

At first glance, the walls look just French-inspired, but if you take a closer look you can see images from the film. Last but not least, they have the famous Beauty and The Beast rose! There’s tons of great Instagram-worthy photo opportunities in the lounge.

Honestly, I love the Enchanted Rose lounge more than Be Our Guest restaurant at Magic Kingdom, as a Beauty and The Beast fan. It’s secluded, grown-up and the food is far superior.

Most Popular Enchanted Rose Drinks

The Lavender Fog is hands-down one of the most ordered cocktails on the menu. It’s always making appearances on social media and it’s quite unique. It’s made with Nolet’s Silver Dry Gin, Rothman Crème de Violette, English Breakfast Tea, Vanilla, and Cream. It’s slightly sweet with an herbal touch.

The Espresso Martini is perfect for the chocolate lover who is looking for a touch of caffeine to keep the night going. It’s definitely sweet with Stoli Vanil Vodka, Espresso, Crème de Cacao. It’s drizzled with a touch of chocolate syrup as well.

The bartenders are great at the lounge and all of the drinks are really well crafted. Additionally, there’s some top-shelf liquor choices that are hard to find and you can pay per pour. Some guests have been able to keep the bottle if they get the last pour (which is worth asking about).

Beer and wine options come in as the cheapest options to order (starting at $7) and the cocktails go up to $27 for the Kir Royale. If you’re familiar with the cocktails around Walt Disney World, you probably know that the park drinks aren’t crafted as well as the resort lounges and restaurants.

The cocktail garnishes are fresh, the drinks are made fresh to order and the bartenders are very knowledgeable if you want to order off menu.

Can You Order Non-Alcoholic Drinks?

There are non-alcoholic drink options available at the lounge, but only two crafted mocktail drinks – a spritzer and a cooler. Hot teas, Joffrey’s Coffee and lattes are available.

Enchanted Rose Food Cost & Options

If you’re feeling hungry for a meal, you won’t find much at the lounge. There are only small bite options available to order. Sadly, there are only five food options on the menu and they stop serving food at 10pm. I highly recommend going to the lounge for after-dinner drinks (especially if you’re dinging at Citrico’s which is in the Grand Floridian and a few steps away).

Here are the available food items to order:

  • Crab Macaroni & Cheese $16
  • Truffle Fries $14
  • Mini Smoked Brisket Sliders $16
  • Artesian Cheese Selection $19
  • House-made Flat Bread $18

While the themed decor and drinks are amazing and worth the visit, the food is lacking. The small plates will leave you feeling hungry and you can get more for your money elsewhere on property. That’s how Enchanted Rose is truly a lounge and not a restaurant.

The good new to that is that the tables turn quickly because people aren’t ordering meals. Grab a few drinks after dinner, or beforehand, and go for the beautiful theming.

Can Kids Go To Enchanted Rose Lounge at Disney World?

Yes! Kids are welcome to join parents at the lounge, but cannot sit at the bar. There are plenty of tables where kids can join parents. The non-alcoholic drinks will help them feel welcome, too. Keep in mind that you cannot see the fireworks from the lounge. Citrico’s restaurant, at the Grand, will have the best view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Is Enchanted Rose Worth The Money & Time To visit?

The bottom line: if you’re a fan of Beauty and The Beast, plus you can appreciate a well-crafted cocktail, then it’s completely worth your time and money to go! If you’re staying on the monorail system or you’re at Magic Kingdom, it’s really easy to access. If you’re not in the Magic Kingdom resort area, and do not have a dining reservation at a Grand Floridian restaurant, then it’ll take up more time on your vacation itinerary.

In my opinion, The Enchanted Rose lounge is far better for Beauty and The Beast fans then Be Our Guest. That makes it worth visiting for sure!
