One of our family’s favorite television shows is Bluey. It has won our hearts over and we even play games that the show has introduced us to. Since the show is so close to our hearts, we made this adorable Disney Jr. Bluey Valentines Box for kids to exchange valentines in the classroom. The box is inspired by the main character, Bluey, and there’s a FREE template below to make it super easy on Mum and Dad!
The tradition of exchanging Valentines with other kids is one of my favorite parts of the holiday that’s about love. Sharing the love of friendship, and teaching that to kids, is what it’s all about to me. I grew up making a Valentines box every year and now I help my kids make one too.
I’m not a very crafty person, so every design has to be super simple to make. It started with a DIY Dinosaur Valentines Box and then we made an Alligator Valentines Box, followed by a Dragon Valentines Box. My oldest loves bringing his box into the classroom every year and showing off what we make together.
You don’t have to be artistic to make this Bluey Valentines Box, but you’ll have to help your pre-schooler or younger grade school child. You’ll just need a few basic supplies to make it that you can get at Walmart, Amazon or at your local box craft store.
In just a few steps, you’ll have a memorable Bluey Valentines Box that they’ll adore for a Valentines Day classroom party. BONUS! Print these FREE Bluey Valentine Cards PDF and match the valentines.

How To Make A Bluey Valentines Box For Kids
The reason I suggest helping out a pre-schooler with this craft is because you’ll be using scissors to make some shapes from construction paper. You can also use regular Elmer’s school glue for this valentines box, but a glue gun really secures the paper well. You can decide which is best for your child’s age.
Materials You’ll Need:
- Square Box (Like Cereal or Cracker)
- Light Blue Bulletin Board Paper
- Black Sharpie Marker
- Glue (Elmer’s)
- Pencil
- Tape
- Scissors
- Assorted Blue Card Stock
- Light Yellow Card Stock
- Optional: FREE Printable Bluey Valentines Day Cards
Step-By-Step Directions To Make Your Bluey Valentines Box
Start by covering your cereal box with the light blue bulletin board paper, like you would wrap a gift. Secure the edges with tape. Draw an opening, with your Pencil, that will be the slot for the valentines. Cut the slot out using your scissors. You can place the opening at the top of the box OR on the side.
Next, click on the template PDF (below in instruction box) and print out the designs. Use your scissors to cut out the template design pieces. Place them on top of your matching card stock color and cut out the shapes you’ll use.

Place all of your template pieces on top of your covered blue box. Make sure they’re exactly where you want them to be – using the photos as your guide.
Glue down all of the pieces. To Finish your Bluey Valentines Box, add a smile and inner eye pupils using a Black Sharpie Marker.
