Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeños With Pimento Cheese

Last Updated on June 30, 2021 by Kimberly Stroh

Finger foods always make the best appetizers! I like to serve them for parties because they’re easy for guests to enjoy while mingling (or even watching a game). You don’t have to worry about silverware either. These Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeños With Pimento Cheese are divine. The bacon adds a salty texture and the pimento cheese is warm and creamy. These are always a big hit!

The perfect easy appetizer, these Bacon Wrapped Jalepenos are stuffed with Pimento Cheese. Everyone loves them! #Appetizer #SuperBowlAppetizer #GameDayAppetizer #FingerFood #BaconWrapped

I’ve always been a huge pimento cheese fan. Living in the south, it’s a great dip and appetizer on it’s own. Adding it to these Jalapeños just takes it to the next level though. You can certainly make your own homemade pimento cheese to use, but I really like Palmetto Cheese that’s made in South Carolina.

It’s a store-bought pimento cheese and that shortcut is going to save you tons of time. It’s delicious and creamy, just like you’d enjoy in any restaurant. You can find it in your grocery refrigerated deli section and it comes in a tub. It’s delicious!

Just add a few tablespoons, into your halved jalapeños to get this recipe started. It melts beautifully and the bacon keeps it stuffed into the jalapeño. You can’t go wrong with this flavor combination.

If you’re watching your carb intake, these are a delicious low carb (keto-friendly) appetizer. They’ve got a high fat content, but 1g of carb per serving.

How To Make Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeños With Pimento Cheese

I promise that these are an easy appetizer to make. You can make them ahead of time, before an event, and just bake right before your gathering begins. A lot of people shy away from bacon wrapped food items because you can’t always get the bacon crispy, but there’s a secret. Use your broiler and it’ll get the job done!

How To Prep Your Jalapeños

After washing your jalapeños, you want to cut off the stems and set aside. Use a sharp knife to slice them longways in half. To clean out the inside (that’s where the heat is), you’ll use a teaspoon. Glide your teaspoon on the inside to remove the seeds and membrane. You’re left with an open half jalapeño that’s ready to be stuffed.

How To Make This Recipe Ahead Of Time

After you’ve prepped your jalapeños, stuffed and wrapped them with bacon, you can store them in the refrigerator until they’re ready to be baked. Then, you’ll have only about 25 minutes of cook time before serving for an event.

What To Serve With Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeños

If you want something for dipping, and you love sauces, try a homemade chipotle dressing! The creamy texture of a dressing sticks onto the bacon really well. I like to make several appetizers and dips for a holiday or party.

How To Store Leftovers

If you have any leftovers, place them in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator. You can bake them at 350º for 20 minutes to re-heat or use the microwave for a few minutes. They are definitely best to enjoy fresh out of the oven, instead of leftover.

What You’ll Need From The Grocery Store:

  • Palmetto Cheese (Pimento Cheese)
  • Jalapeños
  • Homestyle Bacon
  • Skewers
  • Aluminum Foil

Step-By-Step Directions For Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeños

Preheat the oven to 400º. Wash and prep your jalapeños for stuffing, by removing the stem, seeds and membrane. Cut each in half, length-wise. Prepare a roasting pan with aluminum foil and place a baking rack on top (this will catch any fat drippings).

How to prepare jalapeños for stuffing

Using a teaspoon, stuff each jalapeño with pimento cheese.

Stuffing jalapeño with pimento cheese

Holding a jalapeño with one hand, use your other hand to wrap 1 strip of bacon around it. If it starts to overlap, and the bacon is too long, you can trim the piece.

Slide the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños on a skewer and repeat the process. I put 5 on each skewer. Bake for 20 minutes, flip and bake for 5 more minutes.

Ready to bake jalapeños

Flip one final time, so they’re facing right side up and broil on low for 2-3 minutes. Watch carefully so they don’t burn. Let cool for 10 minutes before enjoying!
