Around age 5, my kids started to get really curious about New Years Eve and wanted to celebrate too. I love that there are events that specifically cater to families now. It’s a trend that should definitely continue because kids want to join in on the fun.

Avalon Noon Years Eve – Alpharetta
This popular New Years Eve party kicks off the fun at the Hotel at Avalon. Advanced tickets are required. They have a DJ, face painting, crafts, and a countdown to Noon when a giant balloon drop will welcome in the new year. There’s also complimentary snacks – like cotton candy, popcorn and a donut wall. Check out the balloon wall for fun photo opportunities too. A kids only mocktail bar adds to the fun and parents can enjoy their own adult mimosa bar too.
Avalon Noon Years Eve tickets are $15 per person and children under 2 are free.
Stone Mountain Park – Stone Mountain
Stone Mountain Park will ring in the New Year early, providing an opportunity for parents and children to enjoy all the excitement of a midnight countdown at 9 p.m. on Dec. 31. The best part is that you can still celebrate the regular Stone Mountain Christmas attractions when you go for New Years Eve!
A special presentation of the Snow Angel Snowfall and Fireworks Finale is scheduled at 8:45 p.m. Immediately after the finale, early New Year’s Eve activities will begin with costumed characters, music, and dance-alongs. At 8:59 p.m. the early countdown will begin and when the clock strikes 9, snow and fireworks will usher in the New Year. How cool is that? Kids will love this Atlanta New Years Eve event!

Noon Year’s Eve On The Roof – Ponce City Market in Atlanta
Grab the kiddos and head to Skyline Park for the special “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31! This kids party includes entertainers, complimentary kid’s snacks, arts & crafts stations, balloon artists and face painters. When the clock strikes 11:59 a.m., you can countdown to “midnight” and ring in the new year.
The ROOF at Ponce City Market is selling tickets for $15 day of event. No advance ticket purchase is required.
Atlanta Children’s Museum New Year’s Bubble Bash – Atlanta
Did you know that the Atlanta Children’s Museum was the first venue to offer a daytime kids celebration in Atlanta? They totally started the trend! Kids can dance to DJ music, use noisemakers and participate in crafts at the museum. The part that kids love the most is the bubble wrap portion of the party. Kids can count down to “midnight” and pop all of the bubble wrap that they want!
The Atlanta Children’s Museum is limited the number of guests for safety purposes and kids over the age of two are required to wear a mask.
Atlanta Children’s Museum is selling $10 tickets to members and $22 tickets to non-members, must be purchased in advanced.
New Years Eve At Sparkles – Kennesaw
If you love the retro vibes of skating and want to introduce your kids to the fun, head to Sparkles in Kennesaw for their New Years Eve event. The celebration takes place from 11am-6pm. Two Huge balloon drops at 1pm & 4pm – balloons are filled with prizes, cash and free passes!
Sparkles Kennesaw is selling tickets for $15 per person.
New Years Eve At Lake Lanier Lodge – Buford
If you don’t have a sitter for New Years Eve, but you want your own celebration, Lake Lanier Lodge has you covered. You can celebrate at their New Years Eve Denim and Diamonds Celebration, while the kids have their own party next door! They have their own ballroom with games, dinner, movies and activities. They even have their own mini ball drop at midnight.
Lake Lanier Lodge only sells tickets to parents who purchase the New Years Eve Celebration Package. Tickets are $50 per child and the event is from 5pm-1am.
Local Atlanta Libraries – Across The City
Lastly, if you’re looking for totally FREE fun, check out your local library’s event calendar. Many local Atlanta are libraries offer their own Noon Years Eve kids celebration where they’ll have a story time and activities for families.
