How To Make These Cones – Cute 4th Of July Kids Snack Idea

If you want to play around with the colors, try purchasing the patriotic blend of Rice Krispies cereal too! It usually shows up in the grocery stores around mid June.

In a large microwave safe bowl, combine your marshmallows and butter and heat for 1-2 minutes until the marshmallows get puffy and the butter is melted.

Mix in the Rice Krispies cereal and let cool in bowl. Heat the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl for 3-4 minutes on 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Hold the cones upside down and dip into the melted chocolate, shaking off any excess.

Immediately coat the chocolate with 4th of July nonpareil sprinkles and place in the freezer to harden. Scoop out a handful of Rice Krispies and press into and into the cones, shaping each one like a scoop of ice cream. Be careful not to press too hard.

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
