Printable Unicorn Pumpkin Carving Stencil

Every year, our kids love to carve a pumpkin. A few weeks before Halloween, we gather around the yard and make a big mess while Dad carves the pumpkin. It’s definitely an adult job, but we let the kids pull out the pumpkin guts every time. I’m a boy mom, but I know how popular unicorns are. Your little one will love this FREE Printable Unicorn Pumpkin Carving Stencil! They can pick from two different unicorn designs.

Jack-O-Lanterns are no longer enough for kids today. They love to carve a pumpkin that reflects their personality. As parents, we know it’s not exactly easy to carve cool designs. My son insisted on Dinos, so I used my Printable Dinosaur Pumpkin Carving Stencil. The pumpkin carving stencil makes it so much easier!

You just print out the stencil, attach it to your pumpkin and use it as a guide to make an outline on your pumpkin. When you carve, use a pumpkin carving kit, and then follow the outline you made to cut the dinosaur shape out. It’s much easier than trying to do it by hand.

Don’t forget that you can make some delicious Roasted Pumpkin Seeds as a family snack when you’re carving the pumpkin. That might be my favorite part!

Next, tape the stencil onto the pumpkin. Use a hole cutting tool from your pumpkin carving kit to puncture tiny holes through the paper onto the pumpkin, following the outline of the design.

Lastly, remove the stencil from the pumpkin and follow the holes you punches with a double-sided tooth saw. Once you’re finished, you’ll be left with a Tyrannosaurus Rex shaped pumpkin.

On Halloween night, add Halloween Pumpkin Lights on the inside to really showcase your hard work and design! It’ll glow and show off your dinosaur.
