Disney Cruise Line: Palo Brunch Review
While Disney is known for their fantastic dining, in particular, there are so many great options aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships. A must-do for us, on every DCL trip, is dining at Palo. The adults-only restaurant serves dinner nightly, but I think the best value is their brunch option. In this Palo brunch review, I’m breaking down why it’s a can’t miss dining experience.

Palo Brunch Review On Disney’s Dream Ship
Palo brunch is definitely a dining experience unlike any other. We always make a point to book it for our Disney Cruise Line vacation. Since it’s an adults-only dining option, it’s worth making it a date and letting your kids play in the club areas.
We love to enjoy our brunch on the morning we arrive to port, so we can enjoy the view. Aboard Disney’s Dream ship (which leaves Port Canaveral) that means you’re dining while enjoying a breathtaking Bahamas view!
How To Make Palo Reservations
All 4 Disney Cruise Line ships feature the adults-only restaurant Palo, serving northern Italian-inspired cuisine in an elegant but relaxed setting. To enjoy the champagne brunch, you need to book a cruise that’s 4 nights or longer. Due to popularity, seating for Palo is limited and advance reservations are highly recommended.
To make your reservation, guests can do it prior to departure by visiting their online Disney Cruise Line planning center. Silver, Gold and Platinum Castaway Club members have booking priority over new guests. If you can’t score an advanced reservation, check onboard immediately upon arrival. Your Cabin Steward can always assist you as well.
Check their reservation cancellation policy to avoid being charged, if you need to cancel. You need to give 24 hour advance notice of your cancellation.
What’s Included At Palo Brunch & The Palo Brunch Cost
The Champagne Brunch at Palo costs $40 per guest. Your server acts as a guide to the full brunch menu and buffet options. Each guests receives a complimentary glass of champagne (or mimosa) to start. Other non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, are included in the cost.
Palo Brunch includes a full made-to-order menu that’s prepared fresh by the chefs. Or guests can enjoy the three table buffet as well. My favorite table is the dessert area. Guests are encouraged to try everything – to truly enjoy the full experience.
The Palo Dress Code
You need to know that typical vacation wear isn’t allowed at Palo. Tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, shorts, hats, cut-offs, torn clothing, t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics, flip-flops or tennis shoes are not permitted at Palo. Here is what is recommended, by Disney Cruise Line, for attire:
- Men: dress pants or slacks and collared shirt; jacket is optional
- Women: dress, skirt or pants with a blouse
- Jeans may be worn if in good condition (no holes)

The Palo Brunch Menu Options
It’s nearly impossible to try everything on the Palo Brunch menu during your reservation. They’ve got so many great choices – no matter what you’re craving. You can enjoy classic breakfast options, fresh seafood or try the Italian plates.
Check out the full Palo Brunch menu here:
We asked our server what they recommend, since we know it’s impossible to try everything. A few of the guests favorites are the Parmesan-Crusted Chicken Breast and the classic Eggs Benedict. My Husband thought his chicken was tender and my Benedict was cooked to perfection.
Palo Brunch Review Pro Tip: Our server recommended an off-menu flatbread that everyone raves about. You have to order the Grape & Gorgonzola Flatbread. It’s a delicious flavor combination of salty, savory and sweet. The flavor combination is unlike anything I’ve tried before. I highly recommend asking for it!
The Palo Brunch Buffet Menu
If the main menu isn’t enough, guests have three tables of buffet options to pick from. It’s a visual feast for your eyes as you decide what to pick. It’s so beautiful. Your server can actually accompany you to the buffet tables and to help guide you.
A few of our favorites are the fresh seafood options, the charcuterie additions with fresh cheese and cured meats, and the ever-popular sticky buns. I promise that they offer a delectable assortment of freshly prepared items you’ll love. Guests can visit the buffet as many times as they’d like. Come hungry because you’ll want to enjoy everything they offer.
The Best Disney Cruise Line Desserts
To be quite honest and fair, I had to try a bite of every dessert for this review. Part of the Palo Brunch buffet includes an entire table dedicated to sweets. They’re prepared in small portions and look almost too perfect to eat. I think Palo offers the best Disney Cruise Line desserts (even better than Remy and the Castaway Cay bbq cookies).
Pace yourself throughout brunch because you don’t want to miss out on the Palo brunch dessert options. They have chocolate dipped strawberries, tiramisu, champagne jello, tarts, cakes and mousses. It’s the perfect finish to your Palo dining experience.
Overall, creating this Palo brunch review is making me want to book my next Disney Cruise Line vacation. There are so many great dining options onboard, but you need to give Palo a try. I can’t recommend this one enough! Just book early, because experience cruise guests know how awesome it is.
