Hot Shrimp & Cheese Toast Appetizer Ingredients:

  • Mini Entertaining Bread: Find the mini bread in the bakery section of the grocery store
  • Butter: I prefer salted butter
  • Shrimp: Fresh or frozen and thawed works
  • Garlic: Use fresh whole clove garlic
  • Cream Cheese: Use full fat
  • Parmesan: Use full fat
  • Fresh Parsley: For color and flavor
  • Black Pepper
  • Salt
  • Red Pepper Flakes: Optional if you prefer less heat
  • Green Onions: For garnish

How to Store and Reheat Leftovers

Allow the shrimp toast to cool completely before storing. Place the pieces in an airtight container, separating layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2–3 days. Because of the seafood and dairy, this appetizer is best enjoyed sooner rather than later.

Freezing is not recommended for this recipe. The cream cheese mixture can become watery once thawed, and the bread will lose its crisp texture.

How to Reheat The Toast

  • Oven (Best Method): Preheat to 350°F and place the shrimp toast on a baking sheet. Heat for 8–10 minutes, or until warmed through and the tops are bubbly again.
  • Air Fryer: Reheat at 325°F for 3–5 minutes. This is a great option for bringing back that crispy texture quickly.
  • Toaster Oven: Works similarly to a standard oven—heat at 350°F for about 5–8 minutes.

How to Make Hot Shrimp and Cheese Toast Step-by-Step

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and arrange the bread slices on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Toast the bread for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, then remove the pan from the oven and set aside.

Preparing the bread for toasting
