Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach Review

The Hard Rock Hotel wants to rock your world. They aim to roll out the red carpet for their guests, and it’s apparent in the details. From the jewel box on your door, designating each room with an individual music artist, to underwater tunes in the pool, the Hard Rock brand doesn’t skimp on the details.

Rooms At The Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach

There’s a variety of rooms and suites available. Pick from oceanfront views or standard views (available for less cost). I stayed in an Oceanfront Deluxe Room and enjoyed the in-room amenities. The patio overlooked the ocean, where I could watch the sunrise, and the room was plenty spacious. Fun touches, like a shower playlist, just add to the music theme.

Included in the price of your hotel room is the ability to check out an actual Fender guitar. Just ask the front desk and pick a guitar from a menu that includes over 20 options. They’ll even provide floor amps and cords. Guests can keep the guitar for the length of their stay with a signed waiver.

The Pools At Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach

The Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach has an oceanfront pool deck with several pools – one being guitar-shaped. Watch the Daytona Beach waves crash in as you play poolside. The small guitar-shaped pool is unofficially the kids’ pool. It is smaller and shallower than the main pool, and the neck of the guitar is a simple splash pad.

There are also VIP cabanas with daybeds and full-service bars to order drinks from. Most notably, the Hard Rock hotels are famous for their underwater tunes. When you swim under the water, you can listen to music from popular artists.

On the weekends, there’s a live DJ from noon until the early evening by the pool. It’s a little bit louder than during the weekdays but adds to the atmosphere.

Daycation Pool Passes

Did you know that you don’t have to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach to enjoy the amenities? That’s right! Book a Daycation Pool Pass to enjoy the pool area on the weekdays or the weekends (priced accordingly). Guests must arrive by noon, and the pass allows access from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the day of booking. Book online before your arrival. Another option is to upgrade to the coveted cabana daybed package with bottle service.

Sessions Restaurant at Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach

Refuel for all of the Daytona Beach fun at Sessions – the hotel table service restaurant. The menu has American-continental cuisine favorites, and they have a full-service bar. We dined at the restaurant for breakfast. It’s better than most hotel restaurants, and I was surprised at how much the menu offers.

Kids eat FREE breakfast daily (with each purchase of an Adult breakfast entrée for kids under 9 years old) in Sessions Restaurant. Kids eat FREE dinner (with each purchase of an adult entrée for kids under 9 years old.

Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach Kids Club

If parents are looking to escape for a few hours, the Roxity Youth Club is on the property and stuffed with fun for the kids. The arcade games take the central stage, and the kids have access to plenty of fun things to do. Check with the front desk, upon check-in, to ask if the kids club is open to guests and if unsupervised or adult supervision is present. It changes depending on the season. The kids club is available for kids under the age of 12 from 9 am-9 pm daily.

Music Star Memorabilia At Hard Rock Daytona Beach

The hotel doubles as a cool museum dedicated to music artists. From pop music stars to classic rock, you’ll see artifacts all throughout the hotel that were once owned by famous artists. Most of it can be located in the lobby area. In my opinion, there’s a heavy presence of Madonna memorabilia, but there’s some variety. Spend some time exploring the hotel to see all of it. There’s some located on every floor!

Beach Access At The Hotel

The hotel is located on a portion of Daytona Beach where vehicle traffic is not allowed. Guests can use their room key for access to and from the beach. Splurge on the lounge chairs and umbrellas that are available from Seabreeze Beach Rentals for $15 per hour or $40 for three hours. Book them directly on the beach!

The Rock Spa At Hard Rock

The Hard Rock Spa isn’t just another hotel spa. They’re unique because they’re tying in the music theme – just like the rest of the hotel! Many of the treatments incorporate the use of music and rhythm. In fact, 4 signature services take place in a treatment room that has a massage table with bass speakers within it and a treble speaker overhead. Mini treatments are available, and teens over the age of 16 are allowed in the spa area.
