Opening in May of 2018, Great Wolf Lodge Atlanta will be the brand’s most ambitious undertaking yet. The resort will be home to a 100,000 square ft. waterpark and feature 4 causal eateries for families. The destination is a 170 million dollar investment that has been a catalyst for new growth in it’s home city of La Grange, GA.
I had the opportunity to tour the new location and I was blown away by the size. I’m excited to share this exclusive sneak peak of the resort!
Great Wolf Lodge Atlanta is Bigger and Better
Our family stayed at Great Wolf North Carolina and I noticed how much bigger the Atlanta location will be. You immediately see the size difference and how much detail is already built into the location. I loved the natural light that greets you in the lobby.
Great Wolf Lodge Atlanta will have 457 guest suites and nearly 500,000 square feet of entertainment space and lodging amenities to enjoy. The centerpiece of any Great Wolf resort is waterpark. Atlanta will have 100,000 square foot indoor water park with over a dozen slides.
Everything is on a larger scale – more dining options, more entertainment and more fun for the whole family!
Great Wolf’s Famous Indoor Waterpark
The waterpark will feature a Great Wolf signature – Fort Mackenzie. It’s a multi-level interactive water fort treehouse with a massive tipping bucket. Perfect for the kids! Other features include high thrill water slides, a relaxing lazy river, a huge wave pool, several zero depth entry pools and kid water play areas.
The resort will also feature a massive outdoor pool with additional water attractions for families to enjoy together. Great Wolf Lodge Atlanta will debut with an exclusive, adult-only oasis adjacent to the outdoor pool, complete with relaxing chaise lounge chairs and a private hot tub for parents to enjoy.
Farm to Table Dining With Considerations to Allergies
Great Wolf vacations are full service destinations with everything you need on property. The Atlanta resort will feature 4 casual eateries. The gem of the dining options is Barnwood, a farm-to-table restaurant whose menu is sourced from within a 100-mile radius of the location. Other dining options include a Mexican causal spot, Dunkin Donuts and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. For guests with food allergies, all kitchen facilities at Great Wolf Lodge are peanut and tree nut free.
Fun Beyond the Water
Great Wolf Lodge Atlanta will feature over a dozen entertainment options. The popular, Magiquest game will be available. It’s the brand’s exclusive live-action adventure game where guests scour the resort using magic wands to uncover relics and runes needed to defeat dragons and goblins. PRO TIP: wands work from resort to resort, so bring your wands from previous Great Wolf vacations.
New to the Georgia location will be the Adventure Park. It’s over 40,000 square feet of fun for the kids, that sits next a relaxing location for adults to look on. Kids can tackle the ropes course, mine for gems or climb in the play areas. PRO TIP: Atlanta residents can purchase a day pass to enjoy Adventure Park on a rainy day.
Great Wolf Lodge Atlanta Guest Suites
Great Wolf Lodge caters to families of all sizes. Guests can pick from themed suites, suites with several rooms to accommodate larger families or standard 2 queen bed room options. Great Wolf’s team has added some new design elements that speak to the brand while offering guests a new experience from past resorts.
