On the hunt for a Charleston SC resort for an upcoming trip? I partnered with The Cottages on Charleston Harbor to bring you this review. All opinions are my own.
Imagine waking up to sparkling blue water and boats sailing by, while enjoying coffee from your own private screened-in porch. There’s travel and then there is a vacation experience – that’s what The Cottages on Charleston Harbor offers. Nestled on Charleston’s Harbor, your own private oasis awaits every guest that comes to experience what the cottages include.
The Best Charleston SC Resort For Families
Charleston is known for historic destinations, a bustling King Street shopping district and plenty of chef-owned restaurants. However, just across the bridge, you can enjoy what the city offers without the hustle and bustle. This Charleston SC resort has ten secluded cottages that are packed with amenities, like a vacation rental, but with the added bonus of concierge style service.
Beautiful Cottages Designed For Large Travel Groups
With the comforts of home and luxury accommodations, it’s difficult to find any desire to leave your cottage. Each cottage includes two bedrooms and three bathrooms. The nautical style decor, scenic views and stone fireplaces are just a few of the eye-catching amenities.
Both the master bedroom and the secondary bedroom walk out to the screened-in porch area, where you can relax on wicker chairs or a hammock. If you’re not one for the southern heat, relax indoors with the same gorgeous views. The wall-to-wall windows in the living room space allow for rest and relaxation with a view.
For us, family vacations still require some downtime at night. I like to find privacy after a long day of family activities with a master bedroom option that offers some seclusion. The kids feel the same way and love having their own space too. I’ve found that’s what really helps us truly enjoy a family vacation and it doesn’t feel like “parenting in a different city.”
While the cottages are perfect for families that are looking for separate rooms and a full kitchen, they’re also great for a group getaway. Plan your must-generational family vacation at the Cottages On Charleston Harbor or even a girl’s weekend.
The full kitchen just beckons for a holiday meal. Instead of your typical holiday home traditions, take it on the road and bring some extended family. The cottage offers plenty of dining space for entertaining. While we visited during the summer, we’re dreaming of returning for an enchanting holiday – with family, sparkling blue views and a gas fireplace. Can it get better than that?
Concierge Services And Amenities
The staff and service at The Cottages are exemplary. For me, this is something that can make or break a vacation property. If you seek hospitality that goes above and beyond, every guest is well taken care of at the resort. That alone, is worth the visit.
A continental breakfast is served every morning and, offers midday, afternoon refreshments welcome guests back to the resort. I highly recommend enjoying a relaxing breakfast by the pool or taking it back to your cottage if you’re craving that harbor view.
Other services, like private yoga and massage, can be arranged by concierge and everything comes directly to your cottage.
Close To The Action Without The Disruption
If you’re on the hunt for a South Carolina family vacation destination, there’s plenty to do in Charleston with kids. The Cottages on Charleston Harbor are a quick five minute drive from the downtown area. Or you can take the ferry across the harbor to many of the great family destinations – like the South Carolina Aquarium.
