Special thank you to The Partridge Inn for hosting my family. All opinions are my own, but it’s clear why it’s the Best Hotel In Augusta For Families! It speaks for itself.
Whether you travel to Augusta for the golf tournaments, the beautiful azaleas or you’re a James Brown soul music fan, it’s a southern destination to add to your bucket list. Looking to spend some quality time with my kids, we did a weekend getaway to “The Garden City of the South” and I’ve found the best hotel in Augusta for families: The Partridge Inn.

Best Hotel In Augusta For Families: The Partridge Inn
Nestled in the heart of historic Augusta, The Partridge Inn offers southern hospitality at it’s finest. As we hopped off the I-20 interstate and drove through a row of Antebellum mansions, it’s clear that the hotel greets guests with the grandeur of the old south.
The doors to this registered Historic Hotels of America have been open since 1910, but currently, The Partridge Inn is part of Hilton’s Curio Collection.
The Hotel Atmosphere and Amenities
While the exterior boasts southern charm, the interior of the hotel has modern decor touches. It feels like a boutique hotel. I love that they’ve mixed artwork of what the hotel used to look like alongside contemporary design. They offer complimentary wi-fi, on property dining options and a courtyard pool. Parking is free as well.
It’s the closest hotel the acclaimed Augusta National Golf Course and books up months in advance before the spring tournament because it’s such a great location.
Of course, guests can enjoy all of the comfort that comes along with any Hilton property and use the Hilton Honors program. They pride themselves on the Curio Collection offering something unique for travelers who want an authentic experience, while enjoying the comforts that only Hilton can offer.
One of their most popular features is the rooftop bar and lounge area. It has a 360 degree view of the city and it’s a great spot to see the Savannah River.
The Partridge Inn Rooms
What really makes the Partridge Inn stand out from your typical hotel is the room size. Our stay in a two queen bed suite far exceeded my expectation. With two kids, a standard hotel room can feel claustrophobic. We had plenty of space because each bed had their own room.
Our suite was two rooms, each with a queen bed, that was joined by a hallway. There was closet space, a separate bathroom area, two flat-screen televisions, couch and desk. Since becoming a Mom, I never travel anywhere without a mini-fridge for milk bottles and they passed the test.
That might be my number one reason why The Partridge Inn is the best hotel in Augusta for families – SO MUCH SPACE. We could’ve easily slept more people in the room as well. So if you’re traveling for the big golf tournament, and you’re wondering about splitting a room to cut costs, this is the perfect option.
PI Bar & Grill
After a day of exploring the city, or relaxing by the pool, guests can enjoy a great meal at PI Bar & Grill. While the swanky decor and lounge area of the PI Bar & Grill offers a great spot for adults to wind down with a drink, they also have highchairs and a great kid’s menu. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
I ordered my go-to favorite that I have to eat in every southern city – the Shrimp-n-Grits. It’s was flavored with hearty thick cut bacon and a delicious gravy. The kids devoured their Mac-n-Cheese which is always a win in my book.
The restaurant is open breakfast, lunch and dinner, every day. The bar area is great for watching the SEC games, but to truly relax, take your drink outside. The wrap-around porch is what southern living is all about. I recommend grabbing a bourbon-spiked sweet tea and a comfortable spot on the porch.
No matter what brings you to Augusta, The Partridge Inn will surely be a place of comfort for your family travels.
