Why Baked Macaroni and Cheese Is So Dang Comforting
Macaroni and Cheese is one of those side dishes that I always serve when company comes over. You can find it on our Thanksgiving table, as a side. It also makes an appearance and summer BBQ events and potlucks. It seems like the dish just goes with any occasion and everybody loves it.
Why is Macaroni and Cheese America’s favorite comfort food? Probably because we all grew up with the famous box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. It was part of your childhood, became your favorite comfort food when you were broke in college and then you introduced it to your own children.
Then, the dish started to evolve. Cooks everywhere decided they didn’t need to depend on that blue box anymore. You can make Macaroni creamy, make it with tons of different cheeses or bake it. No matter how you serve it, everyone loves it!
