How To Make Bacon Cheddar Slow Cooker Dip

If you’ve never made an appetizer in your slow cooker before, you’re going to love it. It stays warm when you’re serving and you just basically dump ingredients into the crock pot and setting the temperature along with the cook time. Easy peasy!

What To Serve With Bacon Cheddar Slow Cooker Dip

The dippers are everyone’s favorite part. There are several great choices that go well with the cheddar profile flavor. A crusty French bread that’s been sliced is a hearty option. Tortilla chips and pretzel rods are classic choices. If you’re looking for a lighter dipper, go with raw cauliflower or sliced green apple. The apple is one of my favorites!

Do you enjoy a keto or low carb lifestyle? Just use more bacon for dipping. You can’t go wrong with extra bacon.

The Best Alcohol Pairings For Bacon Cheddar Slow Cooker Dip

If you’re a beer fan, go for it! A lager would be an amazing choice to enjoy with the cheddar and bacon flavoring of the dip. You could also pair a dry white wine, if you’d rather do a wine option. In terms of cocktails, I’d pick something slightly sweet, but nothing too overpowering.

What To Do With Leftover Bacon Cheddar Slow Cooker Dip

If you’ve got leftovers after serving it, you can place it in an air-tight container and keep it refrigerated. Reheat in the microwave and stir until well combined. Enjoy your leftover dip within 1-2 days after originally making it. You cannot freeze the dip.

What You’ll Need From The Grocery Store:

  • Cream Cheese
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Half-and-Half Cream
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Dried Minced Onion
  • Prepared Mustard
  • Bacon Strips
  • Optional Dippers: Tortilla chips, French Bread Slices, Green Apple, Pretzel Rods, Cauliflower

When you’re picking your bacon, I prefer a slightly thinner cut of bacon. It’s easier to cook and crumble. If I know I’m making this recipe, I’ll serve bacon at breakfast and just double the amount to use later on in the dip. Cooking it well done and crispy will help it crumble easier too. Avoid an applewood bacon because it adds that extra dimension of flavor, that you won’t need.
