Dessert bars are one of my favorite things to bake because they’re so much easier than cookies. You don’t have to sit at the oven and watch each individual batch. You’re mixing the wet and dry ingredients together before baking. Throw these into the oven and your kitchen will smell amazing!

What brings this Apple Blondies recipe together is the chunks of apple alongside the maple glaze. There are so many variations of blondies, but that’s what makes this recipe truly unique. The glaze is the added touch that you never knew you needed, but the recipe wouldn’t be the same without it.

When To Make Apple Blondies

This is a true fall dessert recipe. I always make this dessert after we’ve come home from the North Georgia Apple orchards. We get so excited that we bring home too many apples and I’m always coming up with ways to use them. Apples are in season and freshest from August – October, but luckily you can find great apples all year round in the grocery store too. I love making these Apple Blondies and the kids love Caramel Apple Fondue too!

What To Serve With This Apple Blondies Recipe

These bars are great on their own. However, you can take the recipe to the next level by adding a big scoop of vanilla or cinnamon ice cream. A dollop of homemade whipped topping is another great option as well. My favorite way to enjoy these blondies are with a fresh pot of coffee.

How Long Do Blondies Last Before Expiring?

Freshly baked items don’t last very long because they don’t have preservatives. Store any leftovers in an air-tight container. They do not need to be refrigerated. The apple blondies will last for 3-4 days before expiring. I’ve never had a problem though because the family loves to eat them!
