Planning a family trip to Six Flags Over Georgia? It’s nicknamed the Thrill Capital of the South for good reason, but there’s also plenty of action for little ones. Whether you’re looking for gentle rides, splashy adventures, or interactive experiences, Six Flags Over Georgia offers a variety of attractions that cater to youngsters. Here are the best Six Flags Over Georgia rides for kids, plus a few for toddlers, to ensure they have just as much fun as the adrenaline junkies.

Six Flags Over Georgia is more than big coasters. The park is geared towards families with kids of all ages.

Tips For Touring Six Flags Over Georgia With Kids

  • Stroller Tips: Bring a stroller to the park. Six Flags Over Georgia offers stroller parking throughout the park and it’s hardly an extra step to get through security. The park has some small hills and it’s best for kids 6 and under. Plus, you can add a clip-on stroller fan to keep them cool.
  • Ride Queue Tips: Most of the kids rides have short lines that move quickly. However, the Flash Pass is an upgrade option to your one-day ticket or season pass that allows you to make ride reservations for quicker queue times. Purchase it on the day of your visit if ride times are higher.
  • Six Flags App: Use the Six Flags smartphone app to check ride height requirements, wait times and use a park map for directions.
  • Understanding Ride Height Requirements: Some of the kids rides have tiered height requirements: a minimum height to ride, a height to ride with an adult and a height to ride alone.
  • Swimsuit Dress Code: Six Flags states that visitors aren’t allowed to wear swimsuits in the parks and must have a cover-up. This rule seems more lenient for kids. My boys wore trunks with rash guards, which allows for an easy transition to Hurricane Harbor.
  • Seasonal Fun: During Halloween, Kids Boo Fest is for kids under 12 and offers a fun daytime experience before Fright Fest. Kids also love the lights during Holiday in the Park.
