On our most recent trip, I made sure to check out all of the Zoo Atlanta Food Options to help you plan your visit. Plus, there are several picnic locations that are great for packed lunch choice.

Nourish Café opened this spring and is the largest restaurant, located on the Grand Patio. Formerly, this was the Wild Planet Café. It has been renovated with a new menu. The menu is varied – with a focus on fresh and delicious. The café also offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Additionally, it’s certified by the Green Restaurant Association and uses compostable serviceware and does not offer single-use plastic straws or plastic bags.
For lighter options they have deli selections ($9 to $12): King Club Sandwich, SouthWest Salad and Greek Salad. The kid’s menu is very selective with only Mac n’ Cheese as an option. Pizza is available by the slice ($3.95-$4.25) and by a whole 16″ pizza ($24 – $28).

Wild Burger Atlanta
If you’re looking for a gourmet food option at Zoo Atlanta, Wild Burger is probably your best bet. It’s a satellite location of the popular burger spot. They offer large 1/3 lb Angus burgers ($9.00 – $11.00), loaded fries and a vegetarian Black Bean Burger option. They offer several kid’s menu options: PB&J, Turkey Wrap and Mini Corn Dogs. Each kids menu comes grapes, apple sauce and animal crackers for $8.00.
Flamingo Joe’s
As the first food destination inside of Zoo Atlanta, the line at Flamingo Joe’s can be long. They offer Starbuck’s Coffee and snack options.

Outside food is permitted at Zoo Atlanta and you can oftentimes find kids occupying the picnic tables from school field trips. Definitely consider packing your child a lunch if they have any food allergies. Gluten Free Zoo Atlanta food options were hard to find at the counter service locations.
