Deviled Egg Dip is one of my favorite appetizers, especially in the springtime!

Deviled Egg Dip Ingredients:

  • Eggs: I used size large eggs
  • Bacon: Center cut is going to cook crisper and be less soggy
  • Mayonnaise: Use real full-fat mayonnaise
  • Shredded Cheddar Jack Cheese: I prefer a mild cheddar jack cheese
  • Dijon Mustard: This adds color and flavor
  • White Granulated Sugar: To balance out the saltyness
  • Paprika: For flavor
  • Crispy Bread or Cracker for Serving

How to Prep Deviled Egg Dip Before an Event

Deviled Egg Dip is a great make-ahead appetizer, making it perfect for parties and gatherings. You can prepare the dip up to 24 hours in advance by following the recipe as written, then covering it tightly and storing it in the refrigerator. This allows the flavors to meld together, making the dip even more flavorful when it’s time to serve.

Before your event, give the dip a good stir to recombine everything and adjust seasoning if needed. For the best texture and presentation, wait to add any garnish—such as extra bacon or a sprig of green like mine—until just before serving. Serve chilled with crispy bread or buttery crackers for an easy, stress-free appetizer.

Tips For Peeling Hard-Boiled Eggs:

Start with an ice bath: As soon as the eggs are done cooking, transfer them to ice water for at least 5 minutes. This stops the cooking and helps the shell pull away from the egg.

Crack and roll: Gently tap the egg on the counter, then roll it under your palm to loosen the shell all over before peeling.

Peel from the wide end: Begin peeling at the larger end of the egg, where there’s usually an air pocket that makes it easier to get under the shell.

How to Store Leftovers

Store any leftover Deviled Egg Dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will keep well for up to 3 days. Before serving again, give the dip a good stir to refresh the texture, as some separation may occur. For best flavor and food safety, keep the dip chilled and avoid leaving it at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
