First off, let me just say that this is a hard post to write. I promised to be 100% honest with myself and my readers…so it must be written!
Last week was week 2 of my Marathon training for January’s Walt Disney World Marathon. I have to say, it wasn’t the prettiest. I had a grumpy and sick toddler last week who had a fever accompanied with a rash. He was extremely clingy and with no help, I missed my first training run of my marathon plan. My second training runs for the week were just mediocre at best. The end of the week was my husband’s birthday, so we were very busy. I feel guilty for having excuses, but at least I ran! Right?
- Tuesday: missed this run, scheduled for 3 miles.
- Thursday: ran 3 miles and scheduled for 3 miles.
- Saturday: ran 3 miles, scheduled for 4 miles. Something is better than nothing!
Week 3 is already off to a much better start! I’m putting Week 2 behind me. It was just a hard week to schedule my runs.
12 Week Vacay Challenge
Yet again, this wasn’t the best week for me. Sigh…I gained .8 pounds. I know it’s not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, but nobody loves a weigh in when you gain weight. I have to blame it on not working out as hard last week while enjoying some birthday food with my husband. I’m full of excuses this week, but I know where I went wrong.
Week 1: 172.8 (-4 lbs)
Week 2: 171.6 (-1.2 lbs)
Week 3: 172. 3 (+.8 lbs)
Last week was simple math, too many calories in and not enough calories burned. It’s already motivating me for a better start to this week.
