I love making this Valentines Day cocktail in a punch bowl or glass pitcher. Seeing the pink color adds a festive Valentines touch to a party table. So show off your punch and make it in a traditional punch bowl or glass pitcher.

How To Make This Punch For a Valentines Party

Whenever you use an effervescent drink, it’s going to lose its bubbles once it’s poured. Unfortunately, that means you can’t make this drink ahead of time. The goal is to have a pink bubbly cocktail to enjoy. Make your Valentines Day punch right before serving it. Making it is part of serving it! Once it’s poured, the bubbles will be effervescent for about 30 minutes or so. It’s still a delicious drink, but you might need to add more champagne after 30 minutes.

Ways To Make Your Valentines Day Cocktail Even More Fun

If you really want to make things super cute for Valentines Day, add some special touches! Pour your punch into champagne glasses that are dipped lightly into corn syrup and rolled in valentines day heart sprinkles. It’s a cute way to rim the glass!

Secondly, think about adding a drink stirrer! Slide a strawberry onto a heart drink stirrer and pop it into the valentines day punch for the ultimate cute cocktail.

What Type Of Champagne To use In Your Valentines Day Cocktail

Technically, you can use any type of champagne, but I like a sweet. A brut, sec or extra sec champagne is going to have more sweetness than a dry version. If you can’t find champagne to use, Prosecco or Cava works too. Looking a sparkling white wine that’s sweet if you can’t use Champagne.

Recipe Variations

Frozen sliced strawberries are the best bet, but in a pinch you can buy fresh strawberries to freeze. Be sure to clean them and slice them before freezing. Club soda and Sprite can be exchanged if you need to substitute the club soda. Sprite just adds more of a citrus flavor – I prefer the club soda instead.
