Having a baby is such an amazing milestone. It’s a joyous time for couples, but it’s a lot of hard work too. There are so many emotions wrapped up into the planning of becoming parents. Plus, everywhere you turn, you’re expected to make important decisions. When I was pregnant with my firstborn, I wished that somebody simplified the “Must Have” baby gear, into a list, for me. I’m partnering with Baby Cubby to share my FAVORITE baby items in this Ultimate New Mommy Wish List!

The Ultimate New Mommy Wish List
Disclaimer: This post “Ultimate New Mommy Wish List” was made in partnership with Baby Cubby, but all opinions are my own.
1- A Playard – The Nuna Sena Playard ($249.95)
A playard give Moms the biggest relief when your attention is needed elsewhere. It’s a portable safe spot for babies to nap, a place to put them when you must attend to another matter and you can take your playard anywhere. It’s also a great option to pack and take to a relative’s home.
2- A High Chair That Stands The Test of Time – Skip Hop TUO Convertible High Chair ($160)
You won’t believe how much you’ll use your high chair. It must be easy to clean and grow with them. This high chair by Skip Hop is the perfect answer because it can convert into a toddler chair after the infant stage. Plus, the entire chair can be wiped clean.
3- A Stroller That’s Modular – Baby Jogger City Select LUX ($829)
This is the exact stroller our family owns. We had a fleet of strollers until this replaced all of the others. You can change the directions and orientation of each seat. Keep both seats on or buy for one child and add another seat later. It’s awesome.
4- A Receiving Blanket – Saranoni Minky Luxury Receiving Blanket ($42)
Receiving blankets are the perfect item for your registry. Baby shower guests love to give blankets! I always keep one on me when I’m out with the baby. Even in the Summer because of the A/C. It’s non-negortiable, you’ll need several.
5- A Bouncer – 4Moms BounceRoos Plush Bouncer ($119)
I’ve always used a bouncer for nap time. The vibration helps soothe them to sleep and I swear it also helps with any tummy troubles.
6- A Durable Diaper Bag – The Ju Ju Be B.F.F ($165)
Every Mom needs to use a diaper bag, but you don’t have to give up your personal style. Ju Ju Be makes it possible to do both. I love that this bag converts from a satchel to a backpack. I use my BFF daily, as a backpack, so I can keep my hands free. The Admin pocket is a great personal space too.
7- A Baby Carrier – ErgoBaby Adapt 3 Position Carrier ($145)
Hands free is the way to be! A carrier makes that possible and the baby stays snug. I love the ErgoBaby because it works for both my Husband and I. It’s adjustable and can be worn several ways.
8- Burp Clothes – Aden and Anais Burp Clothes ($22.00)
Before having kids, you don’t realize how important burp clothes are. Babies are constantly spitting up and this is the my FAVORITE brand of burp clothes. They are organic, cover a large area to protect your clothing, wash well and covert to a bib.
9- A Baby Monitor – Owlet Baby Vitals Monitor ($249)
Having peace of mind, as a new parent, is priceless. The Owlet Baby Vitals Monitor has nothing but rave reviews from my circle of Mom friends. It monitors their heart rate and their oxygen levels to alert you of any change that could be an emergency.
10- Mittens for Newborns – Goumikids Mitts ($12)
Newborns have such sharp nails that they scratch themselves, even in their sleep. These mitts are perfect to protect themselves from sharp nails.
