This is the way… to make your own Star Wars Mandalorian Gender Reveal announcement! If you’re the ultimate fan (like my Husband) then you’re probably passing down the force to your upcoming little one. There’s no better way than creating a gender reveal that matches your fandom. Whether you’re having a little boy or little girl Jedi, you can easily recreate a flat layout to use as your announcement.
My Husband has always been a Star Wars fan, but I think we both fell in love with The Child (AKA Baby Yoda) when The Mandalorian debuted on Disney Plus. When we found out that we were expecting our third baby, we knew we wanted to put a Star Wars spin on things. That escalated even more when we found out we were having a boy!
DIY Star Wars Mandalorian Gender Reveal Announcement
I’m going to show you how easy it is to create your own Star Wars gender reveal. We used this flat layout to announce our baby’s gender on social media. I’ll show you how to find each element and put your own spin on it! There are such great Disney baby products to help you out.
What You’ll Need:
- Felt Letterboard or Chalk Board With Magnetic Letters
- Lightsaber
- Star Wars Onsie (Here is a girl option or there’s a boy option too)
- The Child Plush
- Optional: Pacifier or Ultrasound Photo, Ribbon or Glitter
- VERY Optional: The Child Baby Moccasins (these are so cute if you want to add them)
How To Build Your Star Wars Mandalorian Gender Reveal
Start with a base, or photo backdrop. I like a lighter color so that things tend to “pop” and show up easier. You can use your dining room table as a base as well – anything wood or marble would work well.
Next, add the felt letter board. We kept to the very simple “The Child Is A Boy” message, but you can get creative as you want with quotes from the show.
Add the second layer to your flat layout, by adding the plush, onsie and light saber. You want to group the items tightly and close together so that each one appears.
Optional choices include baby shoes, your ultrasound photo or even a pacifier. Lastly, you’ll want to fill in any empty spaces. Glitter or ribbon add a nice touch as well.
For us, the lightsaber was really important. We brought home a Legacy Saber from Walt Disney World and it has a special connection to his name. For a girl, you could use Rey’s saber. Personalize it to show off your fandom!
