Traditionally, the end of the year has always brought excitement to Run Disney fans. A lot of us are in taper mode, waiting for WDW Marathon weekend, and Christmas funds are saved for next year’s expos. Most of all, fans stalk social media waiting for hints about the Run Disney New Balance shoes. 2018 will be be different though.
Rumor is, 2017 will be the last year for Run Disney New Balance shoes. Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend is in full swing and runners are being told that this is the last year for the New Balance designs. The booth is offering $99.00 Buy One Get One Half Off adult shoes and children’s styles are $39.99 Buy One Get One Half Off. Now is the time to stock up on any styles that you love! They aren’t reinforcing a queue policy either – just walk up and purchase.
If you aren’t running at Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend, check your local New Balance outlet! Customer have been reporting discounted Run Disney designs. Once they’re gone, that’s it.
This would mark the end of a partnership between the brands that has been around since 2013. The shoes surpassed popularity beyond runners and caught the attention of all Disney fans. A queue line system was used to suppress the long lines that happened at Run Disney expos. Of course, Ebay sellers took advantage of the hot shoes and had exuberant listings with prices up to $400.
Some runners are speculating that a new shoe company will collaborate with Run Disney for 2018, but only time will tell if that comes to fruition. New Balance has produced other Disney designs, like these Marvel ones, that aren’t Run Disney specific. With no Disneyland races and no upcoming Run Disney shoe designs, this new year will definitely be different for fans.
What was your favorite Run Disney New Balance design? I was a big fan!

At the Wine & Dine Expo, I was assured that New Balance will still be partnered with Disney and will be putting out more Disney shoes akin to the Cars 3 Vazee Pace. I got the impression that shoes would merely no longer be a part of the Expo, not that New Balance was being replaced. The New Balance staff seemed to be sighing in relief, no longer having to deal with the craziness that their part in the Expos had become.

I hope they continue the partnership! The Cars 3, Marvel and BATB collections were great.

Just snagged Mad Tea Party and Haunted Mansions at my local outlet. These were too good of a merchandise offering to give up!
