The crisp cool fall air beckons me to get in the kitchen and make some pumpkin treats. While I love baked pumpkin goods, sometimes I just need a quick and easy recipe. This Pumpkin Fluff Dip recipe satisfies my sweet tooth and I could make it in my sleep. It’s SUPER easy and my kids love it too. Whenever we can all agree on a dessert, it’s a win win in our home.
I’ve made this recipe for years and it’s always fun to enjoy as a family. It’s great on its own, as a dip, or you can use it as a centerpiece to a dessert tray. Add your favorite dippers around the outside and you’ve got a fantastic fall snack. My kids help me make Pumpkin Fluff and it’s a definitely loved in our home.
I’ve partnered with Kroger to showcase how you can make Pumpkin Fluff in a pumpkin. It’s a neat way to serve the dip and it’s different. Since pumpkins are organic, they make a nice bowl for the pumpkin fluff to sit in!
Be as fancy as you want, by serving your dip in a pumpkin, or just throw it together and enjoy it directly from the bowl. However you eat your pumpkin fluff – it’ll be a snack that everyone enjoys.

How To Make Pumpkin Fluff As A Fall Snack
I definitely love making dips. Any time that I can dump ingredients into a bowl, stir and serve is my favorite. It took many years of trial and error, in the kitchen, to learn that you don’t need to put much effort into a recipe for it to be a hit. Sometimes the most complicated recipes just stink!
Making Pumpkin Fluff costs barely anything and you probably already have most of the ingredients at home. After the holiday season is over, I go into my local grocery store to buy all of the clearance canned pumpkin. It lasts about 1 1/2 years in your pantry, so I can enjoy it the following fall season.
This recipe is so easy that the kids can make it by themselves or join you. My oldest loves to get in the kitchen to help me out. I just watch him and he feel so accomplished making something himself.
What To Serve With Pumpkin Fluff Dip
You can make a beautiful serving board with the dip in the center and add some fun dippers. I love to slice apples and fresh bananas, then pair it with vanilla wafers, graham crackers and gingersnaps. My favorite dipper are maple sandwich cookies! The ideas are endless. My son likes to take some to school to dip his banana into.
If you want to dress us the dessert, hollow out a small fresh pumpkin. You can use it as a bowl for the dip. It’s a great idea for a Halloween party or Thanksgiving.
How To Store Leftover Dip
I doubt you’ll have any leftovers (because it’s so tasty), but if you do… keep it in an air-tight container. Store it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to enjoy again. You can let it reach room temperature again or you can enjoy chilled. For best freshness, enjoy the dip within 4-5 days of making it!
I don’t recommend freezing Pumpkin Fluff. The texture changes from the freezing process and can cause the dip to be runny. Make a new batch instead of freezing any leftovers.
Recipe Substitutions
Use whatever type of frozen dessert whip that you prefer (Cool Whip). Fat Free, Sugar-Free or Extra Creamy all work when making your Pumpkin Fluff. When picking your pumpkin, look for pumpkin puree. Canned pumpkin puree is entirely different than pumpkin pie filling. Go with puree!
