International Polar Bear Day

Aren’t polar bears interesting and beautiful? Fun Fact: every February we celebrate International Polar Bear Day! These fun and edible polar bear pretzels are the perfect addition to eat while learning all about these interesting and large animals! One of the most important ways that we can understand and learn about polar bears is to first educate ourselves with some facts surrounding them and their lives.

Polar Bear Facts for Kids

Polar bears live in the wild and there are current estimates of anywhere from 20,000-50,000 polar bears that still remain. One of the biggest reasons that International Polar Bear Day was started was to help educate the general public about the impact of global warming on the future polar bear population. With polar bears needing cold climates, understanding how the future of our Earth can impact their habitats is important.

Taking the time to also learn some fun facts about polar bears is important as well! One fun fact about polar bears is that they change homes every day because they spend the majority of their time wandering and hunting. That’s a lot of exploring and moving about for such a large animal!
