Dream Of Sugar Plums: Nutcracker and the Four Realms Final Trailer

Last Updated on September 4, 2018 by Kimberly Stroh

Disney has me dreaming of sugar plums as the excitement builds with the Nutcracker and the Four Realms final trailer. I can see all of the hype surrounding around the film and I think it’s going to be a breakout holiday classic – one of the movies that we watch year after year.

It has an amazing cast that includes Morgan FreemanKeira Knightley and Helen Mirren. The costumes are absolutely gorgeous and it’s going to be great to see Disney do another stage to movie adaptation.

Plus, can we just talk about how amazing Misty Copeland is? I’ve had a fan girl crush on her since I was a young dancer myself. It’s a big deal that she’s dancing in Disney’s Nutcracker and the Four Realms. It’s very rare for a ballerina to build such a commercial side to her career. She’s American Ballet Theatre’s first African-American principal dancer and now she’ll be dancing on the big screen.

About The Movie

All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston, and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale.

Disney’s Nutcracker and the Four Realms Opens November 2nd
