Last Updated on May 20, 2025 by Kimberly Stroh

When it’s the dog days of summer, and it’s hot outside, there’s nothing better than a refreshing drink. A Non-Alcoholic Fish Bowl Punch is the perfect way to bring vibrant color, tropical flavor, and a bit of whimsy to any party—minus the alcohol. This version is perfect for summer celebrations, with a bit of red and blue, it can be served for a patriotic occasion. I’ll show you how to create this fun drink, in safe drinkware, so it looks like a cute fish bowl!

Non-Alcholic Fish Bowl Punch Recipe

When To Make This Fun Fish Bowl Mocktail

This fun non-alcoholic punch is perfect for the summer months. It’s a little sugary (although you can find substitutions), so it’s definitely a treat. This punch is all about the kids. Siblings can sip and enjoy it together, or it’s a fun over-sized drink to sip on all day by the pool.

The fun twist straws in bright neon colors make it perfect for summer. I like these fun Amazon silly straws, but these Amazon beach straws are great too.

This Non-Alcoholic Fish Bowl Punch is the fun kid-friendly mocktail you need to try!

Non-Alcoholic Fish Bowl Punch Ingredients:

  • Little Hug Fruit Barrel Drinks – Blue Raspberry Flavor: This adds the nice blue “water” color
  • Lemonade: Keep it easy and buy lemonade in the refrigerated section or mix your own from powder
  • Lemon Lime Soda: I used Sprite. 7Up would also work.
  • Rainbow Nerds Candies: This makes the bottom of the fish bowl
  • Swedish Fish Gummy Candies: You can’t have a fish bowl punch without fish
  • Ice: to keep the drink chilled, and to keep the candy in place at the bottom of the bowl.

Substitutions

If you can’t find straws you like on Amazon, check your local Dollar store. If you can’t find the Little Hug Juices, Hawaiian Punch also makes a blue juice, or you could use gatorade/powerade or even mix up some Kool Aid. Opt for a ZERO option, if you want to cut the sugar. Sugar-free lemonade is also a good substitution.

Tips For Making Your Non-Alcoholic Fish Bowl Punch

I like to have all of my ingredients in the fridge before I make these, so the ice doesn’t water it down as much. Refrigerating the ingredients for a few hours will help. Make the punch right before serving, so it’s fresh and chilled.

The fish bowl is actually a candy jar that came with a lid. I’m using this because it is “food safe” glass. Avoid using a non-food safe plastic item (such as a beach bucket). It’s safe since it’s for candy!

How To Make Your Non-Alcoholic Fish Bowl Punch

In a large pitcher, add blue juice and lemonade and mix well. Pour in sprite.

Adding Sprite to the blue non-alcoholic drink mixture

Fill a fish bowl with nerd candies and top with ice. You want to completely fill the bowl with ice as this will help keep your “sand” and fish in place when you pour in the punch.

Adding the ice into the fish bowl

Gently pour the punch into the fish bowl.

Using a wooden barbecue skewer or knife, gently slide swedish fish between the glass and the ice so it looks like the fish are swimming.

Adding the Swedish Fish to the bowl

Repeat with the desired number of fish. Add straws to your drink and serve immediately.

  • The lemon lime soda I used is Sprite.
