New at Stone Mountain Park this year, Dinosaur Explore features 14 prehistoric dinosaurs species. Dinosaur Explore opens on March 30th, for the 2017 season, the attraction will amaze your family as you encounter life-size dinosaurs with special effects.
My Son loved seeing some of his favorites, like the Tyrannosaurus Rex and the Stegosaurus, come to life with roars and gentle movement. Amongst the impressive collection of dinosaurs, The Bronchiosuarus stands 20 feet tall and 33 feet long. It’s the first dinosaur to greet you as you come into the park and it doesn’t disappoint.
Your whole family will feel like you stepped back in time to walk alongside them. The dinosaurs are scientifically accurate and feature informational facts displayed in front of their accompanying dino. I love that Stone Mountain added an educational aspect to Dinosaur Explore. It’s fun for the kids and they don’t even realize they are learning too!
Dinosaur Explore is perfect for preschoolers on up. It’s located in the attractions area of Stone Mountain Park. The attraction is well shaded, but the majority of it is located outside. There are several hands-on experiences for the kids and play areas as well. My 3 year old love the dinosaur dig area and the “Dinotorium” which was an interactive playground area.
The exhibit is included in the Adventure Pass and an Annual Membership. Restrooms are located within walking distance and include a changing table.
