Rock The Dots With Minnie Mouse Inspired Fashion
Minnie Mouse has always been my fashion icon.. probably since long before I even knew what a fashion icon was. I’ve always loved her different looks, but her Polka Dots look is absolutely classic. Is that where my love of polka dots came from? My love of red? It’s all starting to make sense now.
January 2015 was my first time Disneybounding at the parks and we started our day with breakfast at Chef Mickey’s. I was dressed in a vintage Minnie inspired dress and while strolling in the gift shop, I came across a table with all Minnie Mouse Merchandise. There was a little sign, and at the bottom #rockthedots.
Upon return from our trip, I posted this photo from that day and used the #rockthedots hashtag, and I had no idea what was to come over the next 3 years.

I don’t have to be anywhere near the Disney parks to channel my inner Minnie Mouse. Polka Dots are that perfect pattern that don’t always scream Disney if people aren’t playing close enough attention. I bet you already have some great #MinnieStyle in your closet right now!
Adding some fun Minnie accessories or even doing Minnie ‘buns’ in your hair makes an outfit extra special.
Maybe not traditional, but I do have to share that I’m always showing off my favorite couple, at least when it’s warm out!I love these Steamboat Willie inspired Mickey and Minnie tattoos on my calves.

2018 makes for the biggest #RockTheDots celebration to date because on January 22, National Polka Dot Day, Minnie Mouse will be getting her much deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! For those of you near the Walt Disney World resort, there are National Polka Dot Day and #RockTheDots events being held at Disney Springs January 18 – 22nd.
