Can You Let Kids Watch Avengers: Infinity War? From Mom to Mom – Spoiler Free

Words cannot describe how epic Avengers: Infinity War is. The film has been ten years in the making for Marvel Studios and there’s a huge amount of hype about the April 27th premiere. From pure speculation to breaking down every second of each trailer, Marvel fans are beyond excited. I had the opportunity to attend the media screening last night and I’m still trying to process everything I saw. Here’s my spoiler-free opinions on letting kids watch Avengers: Infinity War.

Can You Let Kids Watch Avengers: Infinity War?

The credit scenes were probably longest I’ve ever sat through after a movie. You can tell how much work and effort went into making this Avengers film. To keep everything spoiler-free, Marvel is even promoting a #ThanosDemandsYourSilence hashtag on social media. With that being said, I cannot give any plot details in this post.

Everyone should experience this movie without spoilers. Even if you haven’t seen every Marvel movie in the past ten years, there’s still so much you can appreciate. The storyline, special effects, humor and thrills will keep your attention. You just won’t understand the history between the characters – that’s ok.

About Avengers: Infinity War Being Kid-Friendly

I am raising my own little superheroes that are definitely too young to see the movie (at 4 and 1 years old) but I know what I’d allow them to watch one day. Overall, as a moderately conservative Mom, I think you should take your little Marvel fans to see it in the theaters.

If you’ve let your kids watch previous Marvel movies, then they’d understand fictional sci-fi battle scenes and the storyline. I thought Black Panther was one of Marvel’s movies that pushed the envelope the most and Infinity War seemed far less violent than that. Yes, there is death – but the CGI images and sci-fi touches don’t make it very realistic.

There is some language in the movie, but no ‘F-Bombs’. I hate to say it, but it’s nothing our family hasn’t said around the house. One character used the word ‘douchebag’ and that surprised me a bit (Did I really just type that word to my blog?) Beyond that, nothing awful.

There are no sex scenes, but an innocent kiss and relationship discussions.

I would take my boys to see it, if they were older. Take your Tweens and Teens, they will really enjoy the movie with you!

Purchase Your Tickets Now

Marvel movies are huge blockbusters and opening weekends will sell out. Purchase your tickets ahead of time and don’t miss a second of the movie. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and I can’t wait to see it again. Next time, I’ll be watching the 3D version!

I loved this movie so much and yes I agree that the movie is ok for kids. I was wowed by the fight scenes and laughed with the humorous parts. Love your post!
