What do I love most? Steven Spielberg is still the Executive Producer of the show. I love seeing that his name is still on the famed franchise. That’s how I know it’ll be worth watching.
Series Synopsis
Set against the timeline of the blockbuster film Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows a group of six teenagers trapped at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. When the events of the film unfold and dinosaurs are unleashed across the island, each kid realizes their very survival rests on the shoulders of themselves and their fellow campers. Unable to reach the outside world, our six teens will go from strangers to friends to family as they band together to survive the dinosaurs and uncover hidden secrets so deep they threaten the world itself.

Why We’ll Be Watching Camp Cretaceous
As a mom, I’ve got to find wholesome shows that I know my kids will love. Netflix makes that easy for me. There are a few reasons why we’ll be tuning into the new show:
- DINOSAURS: Obviously, this is a biggie for the fans. If you have kids that love dinosaurs, this will be a must-watch. Plus, it won’t be as scary as the live-action films since it’s animated. We also LOVE the new Camp Cretaceous merchandise, so we’re pumped for the show to premiere.
- REPRESENTATION: It’s hard to find shows that represent all ethnicities, but brands are getting better about producing them. It’s clear from the artwork that this show is for boys and girls, with representation of all ethnicities.
- THROWBACKS: This one is for the parents. If you’re like me and you love the franchise, it’s going to be interesting to see what they do with classics from the original movies. I love the truck that they created just for the show – reminds me of the 90’s Jurassic Park Jeep.
Camp Cretaceous Interactive Website
Get even more excited because there is a brand-new website that’s going to be live when the show premieres on September 18th. This brand new state of the art adventure camp is waiting to be explored at CampCretaceous.com, where you’ll be able to tour the campgrounds, get up close with dinosaurs and, as Mr. DNA says, experience the wonders of science!
