Time and time again, guests gushed over how many times they’d been to Hilton Head Health. They knew every detail of the resort, who to ask for at the spa, and gave me the low down on their favorite fitness instructors. A few minutes after check-in and meeting some guests, it was clear that Hilton Head Health Resort was not your average vacation. It’s a tranquil wellness destination that offers an all-inclusive experience where guests can fully submerge themselves in mind-body harmony.
Nestled in a secluded wooded area of the popular Hilton Head Island, it’s clear there’s a level of exclusivity when you arrive. Everyone at H3 (the resort nickname) is on their journey to better health, and the staff is there to guide you, but it’s your journey. You’re staying at one of the best resorts on the island, but there’s no pretentious attitude.
All body sizes, fitness levels, and resolutions are welcome. Whether you’re checking in for a week or six months, there’s a place for the journey at H3. Come home refreshed, focused, energized, and recharged. It’s a wellness destination unlike any other.

In short, H3 welcomes everyone. However, you have to take the first step. Booking this trip is doing something for yourself. It’s realizing that you need a break from the chaos of regular life. Or know that you want assistance to lose weight. A piece of you may need internal healing that can only happen with a healthy lifestyle. There are so many reasons to book a trip to Hilton Head Health, and they offer programs to fit every need.
There are multiple options to pick from for your length of stay. Pick from a quick weekend getaway and pay by the day. Save a bit of money by booking for the week, or save the most money by booking monthly. The range varies from guests who spend the weekend to guests staying six months at a time. Returning guests can book their next stay at a discounted rate if they place a deposit while on their current trip.
A Typical Daily Schedule At H3
Upon check-in, every guest receives a program book. The program showcases all of the resort’s daily offerings. The classes vary by season, but the weekly program includes lecture-style courses, demonstrations, and fitness classes. Every guest creates their schedule—book as many classes as you want or nothing. There’s no judgment if you want to relax instead of pushing yourself.
The fitness classes include cardio, strengthening, aquatic, and stretching. The outdoor pool is heated to eighty-eight degrees year-round, so the aquatic classes are always on the schedule. Guests sign up for the classes the day before. Class sizes vary depending on the time of year you visit, but they’re always small enough for the instructor to assist guests who need them.
Optional classes start as early as 7 am, like the sunrise walk on the beach, but typically there aren’t nighttime classes. The resort is very quiet after dinnertime. Personally, I love that aspect.
Food At Hilton Head Health
If you need assistance with nutrition, Hilton Head Health is an amazing controlled environment where meals are prepped for you. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included with your all-inclusive stay. The food is planned, portioned, and wholesome with natural ingredients.
Mindful eating takes centerpiece at mealtime. Guests are encouraged to make healthy choices with suggested calorie amounts and gentle reminders at the table about correct nutrition (like limiting red meat and filling up on vegetables). Overall, the food is delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by the portion amounts for the lower calorie range on the menu.
Between meals, there are Fit Bites. That is what H3 calls their snack station, packed with items to keep you feeling satiated between meals. Infused waters, teas, and coffee are also available all day long. You’ll leave the resort with a more conscious attitude towards nutrition.
For a special occasion, book the Chef’s Table. It’s a one-night weekly offering where select guests gather around the head Chef’s kitchen. He cooks a wonderful themed meal while explaining the nutrition in depth. It’s an opportunity to ask questions about portions, cook lighter, and learn tips you’ll apply in your kitchen.
