There are so many health benefits to eating pumpkin. I’m sure your grandmother’s pie is amazing, but I’m referring to the real and raw pumpkin. It’s full of fiber, vitamin A and antioxidants. It’s an amazing fit fuel to keep up staying strong and active. Sadly, many people don’t know that there are many ways to celebrate pumpkin other than eating sugary treats that don’t have an ounce of real pumpkin. All of the commercial pumpkin products are enticing (I fall victim to it too), but the best way to eat pumpkin is to bake & cook with it in your kitchen. I use either a whole pumpkin & roast it (even the seeds too) or organic canned pumpkin that doesn’t have any additives. Raw pumpkin can be stored for up to a week and canned pumpkin lasts over a year in your pantry. These are hearty and healthy pumpkin recipes that your whole family will enjoy. I love to warm up my kitchen with the smell of pumpkin and enjoy the crisp cool air come in from the back door.
