What are your favorite parts of the holiday season? I love all of the great flavors of Christmas. There’s nothing better than enjoying the decadent and sweet flavors that come along with the season. This Christmastime Gingerbread Cheesecake Dip recipe is going to be your new favorite. Turn on a cheesy Hallmark movie and munch on this fantastically festive and sweet dip.
This Gingerbread Cheesecake Dip recipe came out of want from my kids. They’re always in the kitchen watching me bake and cook during the holiday season. They’d grab whatever I was making to munch on.
Instead, I started making this dip to keep in the refrigerator. Now, they chat and watch my bake while enjoying the dip – no longer grabbing the ingredients I was using.
Gingerbread recipes have always peaked my interest because they’re sweet and spicy. If you love classic gingerbread or cookies, then you’re going to enjoy the easier version. It’s everything you love about the flavor, but in a quick dessert dip. No need to worry about baking! It’s a Christmas snack staple in our home!

Keep it easy during the holiday season. I make a batch of the dip and let it be in the refrigerator. Anyone can pull it out for a festive snack. If you like a stronger ginger flavor, then feel free to add more ground ginger. It’s a mild ginger and sweet flavor. I love the creamy texture too.
I use my medium mixing bowl and my electric hand mixer to throw this dip together. If you don’t own a hand mixer, you’ll be vigorously stirring by hand – which works too – just harder to do.
What To Serve With Gingerbread Cheesecake Dip
Make a fun and festive holiday board by grabbing several dipping options. I serve the dip alongside coffee, if it’s for after dinner. Here are great options for dippers:
- Vanilla Wafers
- Honey Graham Crackers
- Chocolate Wafers
- Pretzels
- Fresh Fruit
I also love making this dessert dip as part of the centerpiece to my Christmas dessert tray. Place the dip in the middle, on a big platter, and add your dippers around it. It’s a beautiful and festive dessert tray that’s perfect to bring to any party.
When To Make This Christmas Dip Recipe
It’s perfect for an afternoon snack attack. However, I also love making it for a Christmas party. You can refrigerate it ahead of time and leave it out for 1-2 hours without worry. Just refrigerate any leftovers once you’re finished, since it has dairy in it.
How To Make The Gingerbread Cheesecake Dip Ahead Of Time
I love bringing this dip to parties. To make it ahead of time, mix all of the ingredients together and add it to your serving bowl. Keep it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve. Then, you can add your sprinkles for garnish and dippers immediately before serving.
As long as the dip is being enjoyed right away, there’s no need to keep it refrigerated while serving. You can just refrigerate prior to serving.
