Being a girl from the peach state, I’ve got a love for peaches! Every summer, when our family has picked way too many peaches, I freeze what we don’t use. The first thing I make is this easy Frozen Peach Margarita recipe. With fresh frozen peaches, your favorite tequila and orange liqueur, you can’t go wrong. It’s my favorite summertime frozen drink and a taco night must-have.
Middle Georgia is where you find the best peaches in the country. Since I’m in Atlanta, it’s a day trip that we make every time they’re in season. The kids love picking peaches and I come home with a bountiful amount of produce to whip things up in the kitchen.
Since we’re big fans of a weekly taco night, I thought I’d create this peach margarita as a treat. Since it calls for fresh frozen peaches, it doesn’t have any after-taste that you’d get from using a mixer. You can certainly use frozen peaches in the grocery store if you don’t have fresh ones from a farm.
With the sugar rim and the offset of orange liqueur, this Frozen Peach Margarita is a recipe that you’ll want to make again and again. Just imagine a hot summer day and enjoying this drink by the pool – does it get any better?

How To Make This Easy Frozen Peach Margarita Recipe
For any frozen margarita, you’ll need a great kitchen blender. I love my Ninja Kitchen Blender because the blades are stacked, so everything blends evenly. It’s much harder to make drinks in a food processor and I do not recommend it. You want a nice consistency that’s thick but you can still use a straw if you want.
What To Pair With Frozen Peach Margaritas
Anytime we make an authentic Mexican dinner, I’m pulling out our blender for margaritas. Serve these with poolside snacks during the summertime and you’ve got a great treat. I’ve also made margaritas with my Authentic Shredded Beef Enchilada Casserole.
How Many Drinks Will This Frozen Peach Margarita Recipe Make?
Get ready to party because this recipe will serve 6 – making six drinks total. That’s for a traditional margarita glass, NOT an oversized Texas margarita glass (feel free to use that though). So it’s great for a party because you can serve it in a pitcher for everyone to enjoy.
What Type Of Tequila To Use
Tequila is made from the agave plant and almost all tequilas come from Mexico. For this peach margarita recipe, I use a reposado tequila. Reposado means “rested” in Spanish. That refers to how the tequila is made since it’s aged 2-12 months in oak barrels. It’s smooth with flavors of vanilla, oak and caramel. It pairs really well with the peach. If you don’t have reposado, you can substitute with your preferred tequila.
What Orange Liqueur Should I Use?
I used Cointreau in this recipe, but there are other orange liqueur that you can substitute. Triple Sec is the most budget-friendly and Grand Marnier is more high-end. Any of those would work. If you can, go with the Grand Marnier or Cointreau.
Homemade Simple Syrup vs. Store Bought
I love keeping store-bought simple syrup in my refrigerator, so I can quickly use it anytime I want. I don’t want to do anything over the stove top when I want a quick cocktail. However, you can make your own homemade simple syrup.
What You’ll Need To Make These Margaritas:
- Frozen Peaches
- Orange Liqueur of Choice
- Reposado Tequila
- Lime Juice
- Simple Syrup
- Optional: Granulated Sugar for Rim
Step-By-Step Directions To Make Frozen Peach Margarita In A Blender
Optional: To rim your glasses in sugar, run a lime wedge on the outside rim of the glass and dip the glass upside down onto a plate with sugar. Set aside.
In a blender, combine frozen peaches, tequila, lime juice, your orange liqueur and simple syrup.
Puree until smooth and pour into your sugar-rimmed margarita glass. Enjoy responsibly!
