I’ve had a love/hate relationships with scales for the longest time. Weighing yourself is a vital tool that everyone needs to evaluate as a part of their health, but sometimes I feel like I’m not getting the big picture by just seeing my weight. We’ve finally got a scale that allows us to see more than just our weight and gives us a better health perspective. I’m breaking down how our whole family uses our new scale with this FitTrack Beebo Scale review. See how it differs from your average scale – and it makes me feel better about my health improvements!

FitTrack Beebo Scale Review
The FitTrack Beebo scale has a retail price of $149 regularly. That’s a hefty price tag compared to your typical scale that you pick up at a box store. So makes the FitTrack so special? Let me explain how they sold me and we’ll never return to your average scale.
How The Smart Scale Works
Since I didn’t design the scale and it’s hard for me to understand the science behind the numbers, I’m going to give you the direct quote from the FitTrack website:
When standing on the FitTrack scale, a very low, safe electrical signal is sent from four metal electrodes through your feet to your legs and abdomen. The electrical signal passes quickly through water that is present in hydrated muscle tissue but meets resistance when it hits fat tissue. This resistance, known as impedance, is measured and input into scientifically validated FitTrack equations to calculate body composition measurements.

Designed With Moms-To-Be In Mind
The technology in the FitTrack allows users to track up to 17 different health measurements. During your pregnancy, you can set up your profile to showcase specific measurements that allow you to see your baby’s growth progress while allowing you to measure your own health at the same time. Finally, there’s a way to keep track of your healthy pregnancy efforts during each trimester. Postpartum, you can go back to using all 17 different body composition measurements that the scale has to offer. This tech is unprecedented for moms-to-be and offers a truly unique insight to your prenatal health.
Set Up Profiles For The Whole Family
Since the scale has bluetooth technology, it pairs with your smartphone. When setting up your new FitTrack scale, all you need to do is add batteries, download the FitTrack Pro app and then pair your smart phone via bluetooth.
In the app, you can set up your own profile. My Husband has his own via his phone and I have my own set up with my phone. Since I’m focusing on prenatal health and he’s focusing on weight management, I love that we can have separate profiles and both use the same scale. He’s seeing custom health measurements for his goals that are entirely different than mine.
Once our newborn arrives in 2021, we’ll be able to set up an infant profile. The infant profile allows you to safely track your baby’s growth from home. Now that hospital stays are shorter than ever (thanks to Covid-19), it’ll be so nice to be able to see our baby’s weight at home – between the Pediatrician appointments.
In total, you can set up profiles for 8 different users – all using the same scale. It can measure up to 400 pounds too.
Weight Fluctuations Explained Via Vitals
My biggest pet peeve about traditional scales is seeing the number change with no information other than the weight itself. I have no clue if water retention caused it or it’s an increase in muscle mass. There are so many different factors that can cause weight fluctuations.
With the Beebo, I can look at easy-to-read graphs in the app that show me where my fluctuations are happening. If I’m more hydrated, gained muscle, my bone mass, etc. That let’s me justify if a 1-2 lb weight gain will most likely be going away in a few days or sticking with me.
In the long run, that really helps me feel better about weighing myself on a regular basis. I’m no longer scared of the scale because my weight is broken down into other measurements and explained. It’s easier to see if I’m heading closer to my goals, even if my weight goes up temporarily.
I’ve been using the Beebo, alongside my Husband, for almost a month now. I love the information that I’m getting about my pregnancy and my Husband feels more motivated to keep his weight in check. We don’t have profiles set up for our older kids, but I’ll definitely have an infant profile set up for our newborn soon. The FitTrack Beebo scale is the tech that we never knew we needed at home.
