We’re always the family that’s on-the-go. As the kids get older, we’re packing even more into our already busy schedules. I’m in charge of meal planning and that means we’re eating easy dinners that the whole family loves. One of my go-to meal solutions is Freschetta for a family pizza night. I call it our “Emergency Pizza” because it’s so easy to pop into the oven when I need a fresh dinner and I’m short on time. These Easy Mason Jar Salads are the perfect pairing for your next family pizza night!
Freschetta offers a variety of flavors in a Naturally Rising Crust Pizza and Gluten Free Pizza (certified by the National Celiac Association). Our favorite is the Naturally Rising Crust Supreme Pizza! It’s made without any chemical leaveners – only natural yeast – to help the dough rise. We find that the crust is crisp on the outside while the cheese melts perfectly on top. Plus, the toppings are full of fresh flavor.
We stock up on Freschetta, at Publix when it goes on sale, since we know it’s a family favorite dinner.

Easy Mason Jar Salads For Family Pizza Night
Sometimes you just have to “think outside the box” and come up with an easy dinner pairing for your frozen pizza. I love to add a bit more veggies in with a side salad. Serving a side salad in a mason jar means you can make individual servings and prepare them ahead of time.
What You’ll Need:
- Your favorite salad mix
- Optional Toppings: Cherry Tomatos, Raisins, Sunflower Seeds, Croutons, Olives
- Your favorite salad dressing
- Small Mason Jars With Lids
All you need to do is carve out some time a few hours before dinner. I use a salad mix that’s pre-washed and add our favorite toppings. Add your favorite toppings and salad dressing (don’t add croutons until right before serving – so they stay crisp).
Throw your salads into the refrigerator and they’ll be ready to go. I love that they’re chilled – it’s a great contract to the warm pizza.
You can even label the top of each mason jar if you want to create individualized salads for your family’s preference. I love raisins and ranch dressing while my Husband prefers a classic Caesar salad with croutons. The possibilities are endless.
