Imagine the world without tex-mex? It would be far less delicious! Our family eats a tex-mex inspired meal once a week. This Doritos Taco Pie recipe is hands-down one of our favorites too. If you love Doritos chips, which my kids always eat them, then you’re going to enjoy this recipe too. It’s layers of ground beef, cheese, creamy salsa dressing and crushed Doritos. You bake it to a bubbly perfection and serve!

How To Make Doritos Taco Pie Into A Meal
We rarely have leftovers with this pie because everyone enjoys 1-2 slices per meal. The base of the pie is Pillsbury croissant rolls, which gives it a buttery and flakey crust. The main filling is taco-seasoned ground beef. I just cook ground beef according to the package instructions (like you’re making tacos) – it can’t get any easier than that!
What To Serve With The Pie:
- Flour Tortillas
- Corn Cake Side Dish
- Side Salad
We always just eat the taco pie by itself, but if you have a larger family, you may want to add a few sides to complete the meal. A dash of extra hot sauce on top and cilantro for garnish gives it some added color too.
How To Make This Doritos Taco Pie Recipe
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 9″ pie dish and line with your crescent rolls, leaving a rim at the top.
Cook your ground beef, with taco seasoning, according to package instructions. Drain well.
Using a plastic bag, crush your Doritos. Add half of your Doritos to the top of your cresent roll shell – this is your first layer.
Place your cooked and seasoned ground beef on top of the Doritos layer. In a seperate bowl, combine your salsa and sour cream with a whisk. Layer the mixture of the top of your ground beef.
Next, add your shredded cheese. Add the remaining crushed Doritos on top of the shredded cheese.
