As we start to celebrate the holiday season, I love to spend more time with my kids. We had a family date night to see Disney’s Nutcracker and the Four Realms, which is now in theaters. The magic of the holiday spirit, found in the film, inspired me to make this fun Christmas Snow Globe Craft for kids. With a little help from parents, it’s perfect for elementary age children.

Materials Needed:
- Ziploc Limited Edition Disney’s Nutcracker and the Four Realms Plastic Bags
- E6000 Glue
- 4in Plastic Craft Snow Globe
- Distilled Water
- Glycerin
- Glitter
- White Card Stock
- Scissors
- Clear Package Tape (Optional vs Laminating)
How To Make Your Disney’s Nutcracker Christmas Snow Globe:
Decide on which plastic bag design from Ziploc that you’d like to use. Place 1 piece of white card stock behind the bag, then trace out the design you want. Once selected, cut out the design and card stock.
To waterproof your cutout, there are two options: laminate it or just use clear packaging tape on both sides. I used the packaging tape and it’s easy to do – just make sure the whole design is covered.
Double check the size of your design by placing it into the snow globe. You want the top to butt up to the center of the snow globe. Once it’s to your liking, hot glue the design onto the center inside piece of the snow globe.
To finish, fill the snow globe to the top with distilled water. Add 1 teaspoon of glycerin (which helps the the glitter fall slower) and glitter. You can add up to a few tablespoons of glitter.
Secure the inside of the snow globe with a generous amount of E6000 glue before tightening. That will ensure it’s officially waterproof.
Enjoy your snow globe on a fireplace mantle, or on top of a desk or dresser. You can make several different variations inspired by Disney’s Nutcracker and the Four Realms since each Ziploc package comes with four designs.
