Join Atlanta’s Center for Puppetry Arts in music, laughter and fun in their newest production of Old MacDonald’s Farm!
Recommended for ages 2 and up, Old MacDonald’s Farm explores daily farm life and invites kids to join along and sing the universally-known classic children’s song.
Specifically designed with children in mind, The Center for Puppetry Arts focused on scale and texture to bring over a dozen animal puppets to life. Hosting the show are two farmhand-puppeteers that are visible and fully integrated into the action. These puppeteers help build the excitement and interact with the children throughout the show.
Amy Sweeney, Head Puppeteer for Center for Puppetry Arts, says, “This show is all about sound, movement and interaction between the puppets and the children. We want to create an environment that is all about fun and discovery. Audience participation for children this age engages both the children and the parents, inviting them to play along.”
My son loved the raw interaction between the puppeteers and us as the audience. He responded to their questions, got excited about the upcoming animals and was amazed at the special puppetry effects.
As a Mom of a very busy toddler, I was worried about keeping him still the entire show. Thankfully, he was fully immersed in the show and participating. I was able to enjoy the show too!*
