For Spring: Bunny Butt Rice Krispie Treats
They say you are what you eat and these are super cute! I love how easy these Bunny Butt Rice Krispie Treats are to make. They’re fun for spring, the kid can help you make them and they work as an Easter dessert as well. Rice Krispies cereal is always a versatile option and you can’t go wrong making this treat!
How To Make Bunny Butt Rice Krispie Treats
Grease a small 9×13” pan with butter or a non stick cooking spray.
In a large microwave safe bowl, heat the marshmallows with 3 tablespoons of butter and heat for 1-2 minutes until the marshmallows get puffy.
Now mix in six cups of Rice Krispies cereal with the marshmallows.
Scoop the mixture into your pan, pressing down firmly with a potato masher and freeze for 15 minutes before using both the circle cookie cutter and scalloped circle cookie cutter to cut out your shapes.
In the meantime, heat the candy melts on 50% power for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds and pour into a decorating bag.
Cut the marshmallows in half and use the blue candy melt bag to stick the small Rice Krispie tail on center and two marshmallow feet to the bottom.
Use the blue melted candy melt bag to draw the foot prints on the marshmallows and let harden.
You want to gently squeeze as you use your hand to guide the design you’re making on the marshmallow.
You can keep them in an air-tight container for up to a week. Serve them with a glass of milk for the kids. They’d be a great addition to an Easter dessert table. If you want to mix up the colors, use different candy melts. Pink, purple, teal and yellow are all great colors for spring!
