Bumpdate: 19 Weeks Pregnant

19 Weeks Pregnancy Update

I can’t believe how fast this pregnancy seems to be going. Although, I’ll have to remind myself of that in 15 weeks when it feels like a drag. But for now, I am celebrating the fact that I feel pretty darn good!

The Summer heat has been the most bothersome part of being pregnant for me. It’s like you really can’t escape it when you live in the South. Of course, it doesn’t help that my son LOVES to play outside too. After I come back inside, it takes me a solid 15 minutes to feel normal again. It’s so oppressive. I’m looking forward to some cooler temps in a few months.

19 weeks and counting! I always get "puffier" in the Summer too. No wedding rings!

Since this is my second pregnancy, I can’t help but to constantly compare it to my first. I worry if things aren’t going like my first pregnancy did and I worry that my delivery won’t go like it did last time (pretty easy). But I can’t predict the future and just pray for a healthy delivery.

My 2 year old son, JP, still has no clue what’s going on. We even use the baby’s name around him too. If any readers have ideas on introducing toddlers to new siblings, I would love to know! He’s been working on his own goals of potty training, so I’m sure he doesn’t have time to care about a new sibling. Wouldn’t it be nice if I didn’t have to change double diapers? I can dream…

But overall, I can’t complain! I don’t have any time to relax with my toddler, so I cherish the times he does calm down or take a nap for me. My next doctor appointment is next week and it’ll be the big 20 week ultrasound! Can’t wait!

Questions of the Day:

  • Are you surviving the Summer heat? Or miserable like a pregnant woman?
  • Do you have any tips on introducing older siblings to babies? I would love any advice!
